Ricoh IS 430plus ... versatile, the IS430 is an asset to any office, as it offers productivity with a capital P. Operating with the standard, built-in Auto Document Feeder, the unit offers impressive speed by scanning standard A4 documents at 200 dpi at an astonishing 50 ppm. The first page is scanned in only 1, 1 seconds. Increased productivity (64ppm) can be achieved by scanning in lower resolutions or landscape mode. Equipped with the optional Data Compression Unit, the IS430 allows even higher throughput by reducing the volume of scanned data.

Besides speed, user-friendliness is the IS430's other key to productivity. As a standard, documents are both loaded from the front and returned to the front, while the unit's ADF can tackle up to 150 standard A4 sheets at a time. And since scanning usually equals different document sizes, the IS430 eliminates imaginable frustration from the start by accepting materials up to A3/double letter size, including cards and books. As an added bonus, the IS430 automatically checks the size of a document to be scanned, both vertically and horizontally, without input from the operator. The scanner also offers various editing functions, such as selection of rectangular areas, and the assignment of up to six single page areas for scanning. A selection of contrast brightness and gamma curve settings offers the operator even greater control over the characteristics of the reproduced image.
