I recently bit the bullet and pensioned off my trusty old DIY hybrid PC for a Gateway 2000 machine which included a Visioneer 4400 USB scanner as part of the deal. With so many new goodies to play with the scanner spent almost 2 weeks in the unopened box before I eventually got around to installing it. If I had any reservations about connecting the unit up, then I shouldn't have been worried at all, it was easy peasy..... Great piece of kit! Easy installation, superb software bundled and all for under 40 quid! In fact, the software included is actually worth more than the price of the scanner. Software with the scanner includes MGI Photosuite III, which is one of the best photo-editing packages on the market. I have to comment on the installation process, because it really was so quick and simple. In fact, it took me longer to open the box than it did to install the scanner and it's drivers. If you're considering purchasing a scanner in the near future, then get this one, you won't go far wrong... ... Read the complete review
