Distance Learning:
... had seen a mixed bag of reviews regarding Distance Learning before I finally took the decision to jump into this new learning. At the time it was made clear to me for someone who wished to pursue a career in accountancy that Sage was a software package which would be very important to learn. So with that, I ordered Sage Line 50 off the Learn Direct website. The price was fairly cheap and certainly considering the b... The Grimsby Institute ... Grimsby Institute for Further & Higher Education (Or GIFHE for short) is a large college located at Nuns Corner, Grimsby. Its aim is to become a world class provider of education & to eventually gain University status. This may accelerate once the new college building is built within the next few years, which will greatly increase the student capacity & quality of the facilities. The place is vibrant & modern. Courses are provided from GCSE level to all the way to Masters Degrees, although the provision of more degree courses is in the early stages of implementation. Part time courses are also provided for new career paths and hobbies. The level of te... Read the full review: A progressive college with big plans for the future by Ace_Rimmer |

Distance Learning ... studied with the DistanceLearningCentre.com (Distance Learning Centre Ltd, Todmorden Road, Bacup, Lancashire). My experience, like many of the other students was very disappointing. The course materials weren´t adequate (the suggestion was, once signed up, buy lots of books via their website!)and were poorly put together. They were completely disorganised, didn´t seem to know what was going on with the courses they were offering or what the procedures were and meant more work and time because they´d given out wrong units. The support was also terrible. As you pay them per month, it seemed their main aim was to drag the course out for as long as possible, involving d... Distance Learning ... did my Psychology A Level via distance learning and had a bit of a mixed experience. My AS year was fine we had one tutor who knew her stuff and guided us through the pack provided by the company. While the resources provided were not the best, they were adequate to get us through the year. My A2 year experience however was not as rosy. Through the course of the year we got through around 6 different tutors all telling us conflicting messages. When it came to completing coursework, the constant switching between tutors meant that we had very little guidance as to what was expected. My experience of Psychology in year 13 had been enough to put me off continuing the subje... Read the full review: Not worth the hassle by arwah2110 |
