Advantages: Convenient

Disadvantages: Frustratingly slow and disorganised!

I studied with the DistanceLearningCentre.com (Distance Learning Centre Ltd, Todmorden Road, Bacup, Lancashire).

My experience, like many of the other students was very disappointing. The course materials weren´t adequate (the suggestion was, once signed up, buy lots of books via their website!)and were poorly put together. They were completely disorganised, didn´t seem to know what was going on with the courses they were offering or what the procedures were and meant more work and time because they´d given out wrong units. The support was also terrible.

As you pay them per month, it seemed their main aim was to drag the course out for as long as possible, involving delays with marking and allowing you to progress.

I would strongly recommend finding some other way of doing an Access to Higher Education Diploma, although sadly, at present, they seem to be the only company offering this online.

My advice- AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Summary: If you can find a good Distance Learning College great - but beware of the bad ones!
