      Very helpful

I was at Fullbrook for all of secondary school (yr 7-11) and all of college (yr 12-13). I have taken a lot from this place of learning and have certainly come away a decent member of society. However, I don't think that the place is great. Firstly, since I've been there, the general standard of teaching has slid downhill at an ever increasing pace. Teachers are younger with less experience (don't get me wrong, youth is great because they'll be able to empathise with kids more easily and visaversa, but experience is essential for a good teacher), more officious with children, and generally ruder - Mrs Gibbons is one of these for anyone reading this opinion who also went there. Trainee teachers are also regularly used (absolutely ludicrously) at really crucial times, such as leading up to GCSE and A Level exams (this happened at both times to me, and regularly at other times). Quite what they though they were doing by inflicting a second, or third rate teacher upon me before my exams is completely beyond me. Apart from the officious air of the school and the decreasing competence of teachers, I can't really complain. It has very good facilities: a good library with good computers and internet access, good IT facilities in classrooms etc, good PE facilities, including tennis courts, basketball/netball courts, three indoor halls, a gym with air conditioning, machines etc, and large playing fields. The classrooms are quite good and class sizes are average. It is a good place to get an education but it's not as good as when I started. I do however, have a lot of happy memories and I made some great friends, and that does count for a lot. =)
