This college has many faults which stem from a weak chain of command. In my case I have mixed feelings about my course organiser for Social Sciences - who let me by first point out to be a good decent person - lacks any influence in the complaints raised by myself and other class mates. She has deemed it acceptable to allow a Psychology and History lecturer who has been off long term due to illness (which apparently according to students who did the access social sciences course has done this last year two) to 'lecture' us. She has been too lax with my poltics lectuer who deems it ok to send the class away 2 hours early! I honestly dont believe that i've had the full 15 hours a week more than 10 times this year and it's a miracle that I passed my graded unit this year (and I would like to point out that quite a significant number did not/dropped out of the course earlier on/scrapped a past). The lecturers have no idea how useless Moodle is as the SOLE teaching resource especially when it is either not working over weekends or magically takes things off that the lecturer uploads earlier (which I doubt very much). I did think it was funny when my politics/history lectuer got really annoyed at the class for not knowing that the history b assessments had changed when he hadnt bothered to tell us or put it up in moodle. My course organiser also thought it was useful to make a guy (who was less than helpful) prepare us in our exam support and graded unit class. I have tried not name my course organiser or the lecturers however I will say this (to my course organiser):
- do NOT make Kenny the exam support/graded unit class lecture for any HND Social Science Student.
- do NOT make Tom the history/psychology lectuer if his health will fail him for most of the year AGAIN (do NOT make Kenny the Psychology or History lecturer either!!!).
- ensure that lecturers (especially politics lecturers) do NOT constanly allow the class to leave 1 hour in.

My course organiser is a good person, she is a good psychology and exam support lectuer and I'm really sorry but I've been left with no choice and while i wont be there for year 2 of the HND i do believe my class mates deserve a chance.
