Fujitsu Siemens Primergy BFa40S2 Processing Blade
The diskless processing blades function just like conventional servers once configured with virtual links to external storage and networks. They contain only processors and memory, eliminating components that represent failure points and consume valuable real estate, and require no direct external cabling. Every one of these pBlades can be equipped with a maximum of 4 industry-standard processors. Since BladeFrame chassis can accommodate up to 24 of these p-Blades, this provides for a maximum computing capacity of 96 processors per BladeFrame solution (BF400 S2). Even the operation of Intel-based pBlades alongside AMD-based pBlades does not present any problems. |
