HP High Performance Cluster LC Series LC2032 Model-G ... Computing LC Series of compute farm clusters is the first announcement in a series of HP IA32 High Performance Computing solutions. The LC Series is designed to give the entry to mid range high performance computer customer a range of cluster performance choices. The node sizes and interconnect options to satisfy a range of uses and application environments from 16 node non blocking switched 10/100 Fast Ethernet clusters to 128 node high bandwidth low latency message passing clusters using the de facto compute cluster interconnect standard Myrinet XP Fiber NICs and Switches. With the 11 individual pre-configured cluster configurations, the customer has a wide choice of options to meet their specific computing needs.

LC 2032 Model-G is the 32-node Pentium P4 Xeon Linux Cluster that consists of a DL380 Control node/Management Server, 31 DL360 Compute nodes, 1 HP Procurve 5308xl Non Blocking Switch with 8 HP Procurve Switch XL 100/1000-T modules, 1 HP Procurve 2650 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch, a Rackmount keyboard/ mouse and monitor, in a 10642 (42U) Rack.

This cluster configuration is a middle range cluster based on Gigabit Ethnet communications as the base cluster interconnect and provides optimal TCP/IP, MPI performance for a Gigabit Ethernet Network. This cluster is perfect as a scale out cluster over the LC2016 Model-G with the replacement of the Procurve 5304 with the Procurve 5308 switches.
