Advantages: Hunky men!
Disadvantages: I've had to buy so many new dresses!
Hi, I'm Meg! Pics about 3 years old but I still look good! I'm divorced, no kids (but I'd love them). I've just turned 33 and I do attract the fellas when I go out but not the types that I'd like to meet for a long term relationship.
I had never considered joining any organisation to meet anyone but it seems like everyone is doing it these days! Adverts on the TV and documentaries just make it seem like the natural thing to do! My last boyfriend who I met at a nightclub turned out to be another woman's boyfriend too - what a nightmare. He's the star of Britney's new song - Womanizer!
The type of guy who ticks all the boxes for me would be tall, because I am, lean and athletic because I am and although I wouldn't class myself as intellectual, I am quite bright and need to meet someone on my level, someone sensitive who can converse and has a strong feminine side (and I don't mean gay!) but I do mean someone who can discuss something other than football and has some depth.
Although I've heard positive comments about the one to one dating, I'm not ready for that yet. At the moment I'm sticking to the social scene and having an absolute ball!
I've read the comment from Martin, the 44 year old who said all the women were old, well thank you very much Martin! I've been to most social events over the last couple of months, I'm not quite sure who you are - maybe you're using a different name but there were plenty of ladies in their 30s and early 40s, or maybe you're looking for a toy girl, a 44 year old who is seeking someone much younger - get real Martin! You'll be 50 in 6 years time but you already sound 100 by the way you were grumbling about the loud music! Moan moan moan - you sound really exciting! It's the music and the atmosphere which makes these nights so fantastic!
Hey Martin - email me and maybe I can meet you at one of the events, if you look young for 44 and you're not as grumpy as you sound - who knows?
I love Across The Room, I've made lots of lovely girlfriends and met some hunky boyfriends too.
Summary: I'd advise anyone to come along and give it a try!

- 14/09/09 Hi I'm deciding whether or not to join ATR. I am a young minded 34 and worried that if I go it's gonna be full of men over 45 which I don't want. When I spoke to the woman and asked her how many would be under 45 she said "not many". Can anyone help as i really want to join but only if there's a few men my age (in their 30s would be great)! In your experience what % do you estimate are under 40? I know each event is different but any comments would be helpful. Thank you! |
