This club is for the 30 plus age group, not for early or mid twenties. The mix that attends is mainly 30s,40s,50s and some early 60s. My experience was in total contrast to the marketing literature for Across the Room... the so called caring... 'we are with you every step of the way' approach.... The organisers failed to mention that I would be dining with people in a totally different age group to mine. Really not the evening I had imagined. I would suggest that anyone interested in joining delve deeper and meet the organisers and ask questions! I haven't even had acknowledgement of my complaint!

The venues are not that cheap (average £40) but they are good or even very good, good music for mature members, average food. The dating agency however is a big mistake. Sometimes I had to email a few time before receiving any profiles, no follow ups.

I was very lonely and down after my wife left me and going to Across the Room was a salvation to me as I met many lovely single people who are now my friends. If you want the truth its the local knocking shop, but its not that cheap. Some men i met paid for the night out £50-£60 a night in a hotel £60+ petrol and even taxis to and from hotel to event, then the drink so you could be looking at £150+. Hi This is Tess again. Since my review last week I attended an event last week-end which was fantastic. There were several very presentable men there, and I have agreed to go out on a first date with one of them. Who knows where it will lead, but I am excited at the prospect of meeting him again and getting to know him better. Thanks to all the staff at ATR for making it such a special evening for me.

I'm a new member of Across The Room, I have yet to go to one of the social events but they sound great! I've joined the One to One dating and been on 2 dates in the month since I've joined. I'm looking forward to meeting more dates, I'm sure ATR will have to send me many as I'm very fussy!! Hello, my name is Tess. I think ATR is great value for money. I have always found Eleanor fair and discreet. The venues are OK, the food is fine. The best relationship I formed going along to events was meeting a nice woman, with whom I became friends. It's great for a night out, but any expectation of a trusting romance with a man - well forget it.

I attended a party night, or I should say didn't attend. I arrived just before the start and saw the other attendees and thought I don't wish to mix with any of these people male or female as I have nothing in common with them, so I went home. I didn't ask for my money back as everything was provided and I choose not to take advantage.

I thought a lot of the people sounded common. Go on get together in your little clique and flame me.

I could not give a toss, what you have to say is not worth listening to.

I joined Across The Room about 8 months ago and it's turned my life around.
