Sendings little handmade angels, butterflies or smiley faces through the post2those in need of hope

Do you know someone who is having a tough time? They have lost a loved one, suffering a serious illness or going through a great challenge in life? Are they lonely? Would they take comfort in knowing that someone out there is thinking of you.

Angels for Hope send handmade angels (always with a little heart on) to adults or butterflies or smiley faces to children through the post to let you know that someone cares and share a little hope with you.

Its free to nominate someone, just put their details onto the website and one will be sent out free of charge to them. The (non profit) organisation is based in America but will volunteers and recipients around the world.

If you can crochet there is also details on the website of how you can get involved.

I have been on the receiving end of an angel- sent to me when I had become bedbound with severe ME, unable to do anything but lay there I held it in my hand for ages, I've also nominated lots of people to receive an angel, butterfly (my personal favourite) or smiley face.

      Spread a little hope today...
