I first got interested in Ales when I attended a beer festival. At first I was a bit worried being a G&T drinking girl in my twenties and only mildly knowing the different types of ale, however after 3 hours and a lot of half pints I was hooked. After three other beer festivals I finally joined Camra -so what's it all about? Camra what is it? A CAMRA membership is an excellent christmas present idea to the beer lover.all you need to do is go to camras website.There are plenty of gift ideas there,as well as the fact,if you join at the moment,you will receive £20 of wetherspoon vouchers. Camra campaigns to keep real ale alive,along with your local,which,the way things are going,could be threatened with closure. It is not a group of fat,bearded boozers with motorbikes.Just go along to your next local beer festival to see the sorts of people who are interested in keeping our traditions alive.
