I ordered from Directfoto just before Christmas after a search and found the price was very competitive. I learned later that the item I was ordering was being out of stock from many retailers. I did more search and came across some bad reviews of Directfoto. I started to get worried I even sent a couple of emails to them and I had no answer. Last week on Monday I had an email from them saying that my item had been dispatched. And today, Saturday, I received exactly what I ordered.
To be fair on them, I would say they're are OK and if they have item I want with competitive price I would buy from them again.

I bought several times items from directfoto a few years ago. This time it took much longer (12 days) but everything I ordered arrived. I also, after reading the reviews, called them and they answered at once. It looks like they did have some problems last year but now it's OK. The same items elsewhere cost much more and there is no postage charge either.
I'd recommend directfoto but pay with a credit card. If there are any problems, the credit card company will get your money back for you.

I've used these people for years for processing my films and never had a problem but it seems to be a different story if you try anything online. I opened an account to arrange for some digital prints, got redirected to a different site for payment and then couldn't get back to Directfoto to finalise the order. Needless to say there was no problem with them taking my money! When I tried to log in to my account to check if the order had somehow miraculously gone through I found that my account didn't even exist. I emailed customer service and was told to copy my photos to a CD and mail it to them. I emailed back that this wasn't good enough as it ... Read the complete review

Order was delivered short. Delivery of the remainder was promised, but wasn't received.
