Edexcel are one of many exam boards which offers a broad range of GCSE and GCE subjects. Throughout my school life most of my gcses were with edexcel and all of my A levels were with edexcel. Edexcel are quite highly favorable above other exam boards as the questions are seemingly easier put and better to understand and answer. I would say that edexcel are perhaps one fo the most popular exam boards amongst schools. Most of my A level exams are done with the Edexcel Examining board along with my GCSEs where all the science, maths, french and DT: Systems & Controls exams were Edexcel. After sitting many Edexcel papers, I feel they are all very fair, simple and accessible if you have learnt your stuff. Edexcel are good for students in certain ways such as during results periods. You can get a pin number through your school, which you use to create an account on Edexcel. On results day, you will be able to log into your account and see your results for each exam/module and print off a copy. Firstly, I should say that I haven't had any contact with Edexcel since 2002 when I was doing A Levels, so things might have changed! At the time, they were one of the most difficult organisations I have ever had dealings with. Syllabi were prone to changes at short notice, often with no reasonable notifications sent to teachers. Marking was all over the place too! They were full of excuses - you really have never heard so many from one organisation. I had cause to appeal and complain on three separate occasions and on every one, we were just fobbed off. What they offer is innovative and well thought out, but the delivery and quality ...
