Well I am 6 six weeks post op breast augmentation provided by Harley Medcal group Liverpool and I have nothing but praise for the group. The pre op care was very good, I saw the nurse to take bloods and swabs and then 2 weeks pre op I met my surgeon ,Dr Sleiter, to discuss sizing and any concerns. The operation was at the Bridgwater hospital Manchester admission time 10.30 am. By 11.20 am I had been seen by a nurse, two anaesthetists and Dr Sleiter and was in theatre ready to go. After the op all was well, minimal pain so after being seen by the surgeon and nurses through the afternoon I was discharged at 7.00 pm (it was meant to be an overnight stay but myself and hospital staff thought I was more than well enough to go home) I was given 5 days supply of antibiotics which are prescribed as matter of course with Harley, painkilllers and emergency contact telephone numbers. One week later I had my first post op examination, all well, one week after another post op exam, all well again. I was given a third post op but I cancelled due to no change and no problems. I am going to South Africa on boxing Day so I have had to delay my post op meeting with the surgeon till Feb 14, I cant wait to see him to give a very big thank you for doing a fantastic job!

I have recently had a scan with the NHS revealing one of my implants has ruptured. I have been in agony and Harley medical are not helping. They never return my call, and I call three times a day and speak to someone on the switchboard who informs me they work on designated days, however on the minimal contact I have had when someone has actually called it has been on the non designated days. They have so far had a copy of a letter from a consultant with the NHS, which I have been told is insufficient evidence. I then paid to have copies of the ultrasound pics after they were requested to be told they were not needed as no one there can read them and now am told that they need a report of measurements of the rupture which has not been done, as the report I have provided them with is also insufficient. Until this has been done I can not even see a consultant or a nurse there to get things rectified.
I am being treated disgusting,y and placed many complaints to which..... Surprise surprise I have no reply.
The whole situation is causing great anxiety, especially for someone who suffers from bipolar and anxiety.
I have been a patient of HMG for over 7 years now (age 48), I started with skin treatments and built up my trust in the nurses and the manchester clinic . I have had several non-surgical treatments including botox,fillers and Laser hair removal.I too had PIP implants and do not blame HMG at all, they have suported me the best they can and i have now had mine replaced, with Dr,sleiter @ Harley in manchester and i am very pleased.I don't usually write reviews but it infuriates me when i see such horrid comments being made, as i have recommended friends,collegues and strangers to HMG. And i can say that we are all very happy, i suppose that when you are unhappy the first thing you do is write a bad review however not enough of us write about the good!!!!
Hi I am a previous patient of Harley medical I had breast implants done in 2004 to later find out they were pips! I emailed and called many times.They took ages to reply to confirm that they were pips then said they would send me another letter about getting scans done. Heard nothing from them so had to go to my doctor to get ultra sound and MRI scans done. Luckily they haven't ruptured but I'm still going to get them removed for peace of mind. When I contacted Harley they said it would cost £5500 when it cost £3800 in the first place! And they said that would not cover any future surgery costs if anything went wrong! They were the ones that put the wrong ones in, in the first place and said I would not need to get them done again in future. I told the coordinator on the phone that transform are offering the same price but give a 10 year guarantee so im thinking of going with them all she said was I don't blame you! They're quick enough to take your money but don't care about you after at all! Had a consultation with transform today and going for one with the hospital group next week as they are offering £3500 for removal and replacements for patients with pips from other companies.
Initial consultation was with a nurse who told me that they use a new type of implant called 'Silicone cohesive gel' and the only way that it may rupture would be if you had a car accident, even then the gel would remain inside like a gummy bear. Had the operation September 2004.
The nightmare began December 2011 when I was heavily pregnant. After several attempts to contact HMG I was told they were pips. In order to breastfeed I wanted a scan to see if my implants had ruptured so I didn't put my baby in any danger. After weeks of waiting I received a letter from hmg giving details of clinics with scanners - WITH A PRICE LIST! We had to pay for our own scans! HMG never replied to my emails or letters. Unfortunately the only advice my midwives could give me was not to breastfeed. The HMG took my money and assured me I was buying a quality implant (of which I was not given the choice of implant or manufacturer) and then they abandoned me and thousands of other women like me. I felt as though I was living in a horror film and those responsible were allowed to get away with doing that AND continue to practice as if nothing had happened. Do not risk it, do not consider using the Harley Medical Group for any procedure.
Over 1 year to sort out their failed implants and now they want to charge us six thousand five hundrd pounds to rectify their error. We are now having to take legal proceeding
I had rhinoplasty done by this man at harley st over a year ago not happy with the results at all in fact not only is awful looking but it is damaged!I recently went to see a consulant in cardiff for a second opionion and he has confirmed that Dr Graham left too much cartlidge on my side of nose causing it to bend,one side of my nose have dropped causing my nose to look flat and pulled. When I went.back to try for revision I was turned down on four occasions for a second opionion with a doctor with harley in Bristol and having to get people to take time to drive me there. Thier service is appauling and so is thier plastic surgery.If someone is thinking of having rhino there please DO NOT
I had breast implants in 2007 and have recently found out that the implants are the dreaded PIP implants. Since finding this out it has been a constant battle to try and get them replaced. I'm in pain, my breast has swollen and I generally feel unwell. I've been passed from pillar to post and every time I call their supposed PIP helpline I just get through to an "overflow centre" where I'm told somebody will call me back within 48 hours. That is not good enough when you've got patients who are scared and in pain!!! Some of the staff are rude, and I feel like I'm getting absolutely nowhere. I had an ultrasound scan which confirmed a "possible rupture", I then paid £300 to have an MRI scan done privately as I thought it would speed things up, had to wait 3 WEEKS for somebody to tell me the results (and when I queried how it can take so long to do a 10 minute review job they told me they simply didn't have the staff to review all the scans they've been getting in), and now I have to wait up to 2 weeks for them to confirm my consultation date, so god knows when the op date will eventually be. When I called over a month ago when this ridiculously long process began they told me that the waiting time for an operation was at least 2 1/2 months, and that was after you'd received your MRI scan results. The thought of being in this pain for another 2 1/2 months is awful. I've called them pretty much every day but keep getting the same old "we're doing everything we can but we've got a lot of people to see" speech - surely the solution is to GET MORE STAFF!!! This is an national problem - they should be coping with it in a more professional manner instead of like a group of chimpanzees. I paid good honest money to go to a reputable company but it's only when they're raking the money in that they want to know. Don't ever use this company - the aftercare is shocking
Do not trst this company. I had a very bad nose operation from them last year. Their customer service is a disgrace. I was not happy with it and it doesn't look anything like I was promised it would. I have been fobbed off ever since and made to feel very small. Especially by the consultant who was about as arrogant a person as I have ever met. You have to pay a substantial amount to see a consultant and I really shoud have trusted my instincts with him because he was very high handed and arrogant when I first met him.There are better places to go. They spend a lot on marketing but it doesn't seem that they have the best surgeons here.
my daughter had her Brest enlarged by HARLEY GROUP a few years ago they used pip implants that was not her choice,She has rung them and they want even more money off her so£ 4,000 just turned into £7,000.she saved for years for this and now has to go into dept for the HARLEY MEDICAL GROUP failure to monitor what they are using.Any lady in they,r right mind would never use them,because it is plain to see by the press release they are only interested in your money,the press release said that if they replaced them all they would go out of business so profit before your health that is what they think of you,if you all get together and pressure them if they don't replace them free then they deserve to go out of business. well i wish all you ladies the very best and hope you get them sorted very very soon.

Although Dr Khan appears polite and reassuring, the service is quite unprofessional. You are left in the waiting room for 1hour + and the treatment steps are not properly explained. People are walking in and out of the room during your treatment asking indiscreet questions.Once payment is processed the amount of attention given diminishes. PRP treatments cost three times as much as in other reputable clinics.Dr Khan himself is heavy-handed and imprecise. His famous stem cell treatment left my friend with a fat face and virtually unrecognisable. Several people could tell she had 'bad work done' . The face was asymmetrical, as he injected half of her forehead and forgot the other half. One cheek was significantly fatter than the other.Over £10.000 were spent to correct his inept injecting methods.Beware, his stem cell treatment might leave you fat faced and lopsided rather than younger looking.
I wanted to share my experience of having Liposuction to help calm the nerves of anyone considering having it done.
My situation was a bit odd, in that at a size 8 I have always had a large layer of "fat roll" over my stomach- when I say large, I could grab 4 inches. It had been bothering me ever since I could remember, I don't what prompted me but I suddenly decided that enough was enough- Lipo it was.
I did all the research on what I could expect- what the surgery involved, recovery, side effects etc (although I'd had a pretty good idea from watching all the american surgery make over programmes). I was uncomfortable with having to travel far for the initial consultation, so I was really happy when I saw that the Harvey Medical Group had opened up a new office in Cheltenham. I requested a pack online, and received this in a number of days. I also got a phone call to ask if I had any questions. I called back and booked a free consultation a number of days later.
So- initial consultation. Had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my appointment, but met with a nurse counsellor. Very friendly and easy to talk to, tried to calm any nerves I had. Discussed what I wanted and why, asked what I knew about the procedure. She then told me about the company, the procedure, what it involved etc. She then had a look at the area I wanted Liposuction on. She was concerned that with my size it would be appropriate to have Liposuction. She double checked this with a senior, and confirmed that I should still be able to have the treatment, but may only be on the flanks (hips) rather than my stomach. She suggested that if I was happy to proceed, I could meet with the surgeon- Dr Marco Moraci, who would assess me. Normally it would be £500 to go on to the next stage, but we agreed that I would only pay £100 as I may not be able to have the treatment. I agreed to a further consultation. I received a bit of a discount on the normal price due to the branch only being open 6 weeks. Was advised I may need to get a letter from my doctor confirming I was ok for surgery (I had some palpitations in the past).
About 2 weeks later I met with the surgeon. He definitely helped reduce any nerves, as quite frankly he's gorgeous! Younger than I thought, maybe mid thirties. Very attractive and charming. Not the biggest talker, but very professional. He just checked if I had any questions, reconfirmed the procedure and the risks involved, and then assessed the areas again and double checked my health. He advised I would be able to have the procedure. Signed the forms to go ahead, and I booked an appointment in about 4 weeks time.
Two weeks later I had a pre-op assessment- had photo's done, blood tests, weight and height checked. Went through medical history again. They advised they would get a letter from my GP to confirm he was happy for me to have the surgery. Paid for the procedure. Got a phone call a week later to confirm they were happy for me to have the procedure after getting the ok from my GP.
Day of the surgery. You only find out the admission time about 5 days before, mine was in the morning. There is only one private hospital they use- Highgate in North London. Parking is a nightmare unless you get there first thing. They only have spaces for 15 cars. Local streets have parking restrictions from 10am-12pm unless you're prepared to walk a bit. The hospital just looks like a beautiful house from the outside. Walked in, was met by the receptionist. Completed the admission forms and was then taken to my room. Room was fine- basic ensuite bathroom, wardrobe, chair, freeview tv, window and office desk. Just like any hospital room off the main ward.
Was met by the anaesthetist about half an hour later to double check my medical history and was told that my operation would be within two hours. The nurse then came to do my obs, checked my medical history again. Dr Moraci then came to say hi, marked me up and asked if I had any questions. The nurse then came back to get me gowned up, about half an hour later I was taken in.
All the staff were great and talked to me, the doctors talked to me and double checked everything as they were preparing to put me under. Woke up and was then taken back to my room to sleep. Can't really remember much, other than the nurse coming in reguarly to check on me. I had one nurse during the day and one through the night. Both couldn't do enough for me and I felt re-assured, if I needed help they were there within seconds. Dr Moraci came to check on me before he went home, he said he was really pleased with how it went. Removed 1.7 litres of fat. Although very drowsy, my tummy looked amazing and I could hardly notice the scars. Stayed overnight in the hospital- couldn't get up for about 4 hours, and was then sick when the nurse helped me to go to the bathroom. Pain was bearable and they gave me an injection for the sickness.
The next morning I was still very drowsy although not sick. Pain was bearable and I was able to walk. They gave me my medication and off I went home. Just spent the first day in bed, would say I was in major discomfort then rather than being in pain as my back was black and blue from the op (although this is normal).
I'm now 5 days post op. Again just average discomfort now when moving, other wise I am fine. Bruises are not coming down but it is normal for them to stay for 3-6 weeks. I'm having the stitches removed tomorrow. So far I'm really pleased.
I would say the only slight downsides to my experience are:
1) Waiting times for the consultations. Add on 30-45 minutes to what you are told.
2) Would be great if there were a few more hospitals available.
3) Did feel the initial consultation was slightly on the "sales" side for my liking, but this was only by telling me how good the company was. I wasn't put under any pressure.
On the whole- great. Positive experience and would not consider having surgery with anyone else!
I went to the harley medical group in London Harley street. I have to say it was the most stressful and the worst experience i have ever had!
I went to first of all to get the Isolaz laser treatment for acne. the consulation was fine not anything special but not bad either. Once I decided to go ahead with the treatment I paid a whole load of deposit money with my card. I went in a couple of weeks later as they told me I would need to come in to test if the laser doesnt cause any bad reaction to my face. She also told me this test was only going to be for 5 minutes or so and it was a free trial. After I had this test done I booked a real appointment with them. Once my appointment came, I went to it and got my 1st treatment done. At the start I has paid MORE money then for one treatment. So I booked my second appointment. I came in and they told me I needed to pay more money. I couldn't believe it. I had already paid so much. They sent me away and I couldnt have my treatment. They are so unprofesional becuase they didnt have any records to see my payments so far. they told me to bring MY bank statments into the clinic so they could see them. I was FURIUOS. They also told me I had had 2 treatments when I had only had ONE. AND THEY WOULD NOT BELIVE ME. So basically they took money for one treament of me that I hadnt even had yet. I also want to add at this point. I am 20 years old, the 1st isolaz treatment I had done the nurse asked me a personal question whicih I was not happy about.
I then decided to not go ahead with the isolaz any more either because it was so expensive and I had already paid so much which they had NO record off. I decided I would try out the microderm and aesthera skin peels. So I booked my appoinement for this at the same clinic. My 1st appoinement came. I had the skin peel done the nurse who was doing it was supposed to carry out the microderm (which I had PAID FOR AGAIN) for 15 to 30 minutes. SHE DONE IT FOR NO MORE THEN ONE MINUTE ON ME. and i had paid FULL MONEY FOR A WHOLE TREATMENT WHICH IS LIKE £80. So she did the same thing next time. By the time I had about 3 treatments done, (and by the way at the start I had paid for a full course of 5 or 6) I came in for my 4th and they told me I had already completed my course. I was LIKE WTF???? I HAD ONLY DONE 3 TREATMENTS.
I was just so stressed at how this disgraceful unprofesional place had taken so much money from me and all they could say is to write a complaint letter. I was already SO stressed from the acne I was suffering from I just couldn't deal with this aswell. It makes me so angry till now that I let them get away with basically stealing so much of my money.
If someone is deciding to go to this clinic I woudl recomend you write down everytime you pay them and make sure they have a record os all yoru payments.

For convenience, professionalism and comfort, I think the Harley Medical Group really does deliver on all. I've just finished a course of fruit acid skin peels and although the results were not miraculous they did really help to improve the health and condition of my skin when it was at a particular low point.
For those of you who are always a little curious about these sort of places but never quite get around to going, I would really recommend you do! I put it off for ages deeming it unnecessary and embarassing but its just a case of healthy maintenance!
My first appointment consisted of a chat with a nurse and a skin analysis. I explained what my concerns were and what I wanted to do about them. I was worried about the texture of my skin and pores so a course of fruit acid skin peels was recommended (I wanted the least invasive option) and prices were explained (£400 for 6 peels - you can get finance plans if required). Case studies were also shown which included before & after photos demonstrating how the different methods achieved results.
The skin analaysis is where they analyse your skin with a machine which picks out sun damage, wrinkles, pores etc and compares you to others in the same age group - you end up with a percentage, e.g. you are better than 77% of other women. Its interesting stuff! I did feel the nurse could have spent a little more time explaining the results but then again I could have asked for more details as I'm sure she would have complied! I would also request that this analysis was done at the beginning of my appointment as having it at the end seemed a little redundant - I would have wanted to know what they would have recommended based on my results.
The appointments after were relatively easy to arrange, better if you book in advance and I was able to get appointments at the weekend and later on in the evenings. Be warned though, you need to give advance notice of any cancellations as otherwise you may forfeit an appointment.
What exactly do they do?? Each appointment involved lying on a bed and with your hair pulled back, your face is thoroughly cleansed. Then a base layer solution is applied which has quite a pungent aroma (nail varnish remover?!). Following this the main acid solution is applied with a little brush and this is left to dry. They will increase the strength of the acid as your skin gets used to it over the period of the course. At this point your face may start to sting a little but then they apply cold wet strips of cloth to cover your face and to activate the peel. If you feel to hot or uncomfortable you just need to say and more cool water is applied. Once over, your face is throughly moisturised and hey presto, all done in under 30 minutes!!
6 treatments later and my skin is snoother and healthier looking and ready for the next treatment. If you want radical results you have to undergo something more intensive but this was great for an interim pick me up.
If you sign up online you will get regular emails offering discounts and special offers - some of the offers really do save you a lot of money. They now do an online shop were you can buy things like their excellent Agera skincare range (which should be reviewd really as its an excellent skincare range for sensitive or problem skin).

I have been using the Harley Medical Group for several years now for lazer hair removal so my personal review on them only covers the one treatment. I requested a call back via their website some years ago, and was booked in for a consultation not long. Their clinic in Leeds is situated within the city centre. The staff at the clinic are all very welcoming and from the moment you walk through the door you are treated like a valued customer. They always offer drinks and have biscuits for you to tuck into whilst you wait. They also have a variety of magazines/newspapers for you to read along with several files that contain stories about HMG in the media.
My initial consultation was with a nurse who assessed the quality of my skin and the colour of the unwanted hair to see if I was suitable for treatment (fair skin and dark hair gives the best results). She then ran through what having the treatment entailed and talked about if it would be uncomfortable etc, so that I was aware of what I was letting myself in for.
We talked through the pricing structure, as if you book a block of treatments you get a reduction in price, and they also mentioned their financing packages which I didn't use. Once the consultation was over, I decided to go ahead with the treatment and paid upfront for 2 different courses of treatment. They are not the cheapest in the market, but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. They are always at the front when it comes to new technologies and have some of the best specialists in the field therefore I was comfortable paying a higher price.
When I have my treatments, I call and book in advance, if it is under 10 days in advance they take a non refundable deposit to protect themselves against people just not showing up. At peak times it can be a struggle to get appointments for lazer treatment, especially in the summer, however, they are always accommodating and if you need an appointment for a specific reason they will always try their best to fit you in, even if it means nurses working beyond their normal hours.
The treatments can take between around 10 minutes to 40 minutes depending on the area you are having lazered, and I won't lie, it is an uncomfortable experience, however, they use a cooling system throughout the treatment to ensure that your skin stays as cool as possible. After the treatment, they provide you with ice packs and cooling gel to sooth your skin.
I don't have anything to compare the Harley Medical Group to in terms of lazer treatment as it is the only place I have ever had it done, however, I would always highly recommend them. They have help transform my life and given me so much confidence, not just through the treatments, but through the wonderful nurses who are the friendliest people I have ever met. If I wanted different treatments in the future, they would be the first people I would consider.
