Advantages: Easy to arrange.

Disadvantages: Some errors on delivery.

We used John Lewis online wedding list service when we got married last year.

After looking around at a few (including Debenhams and Wrapit) we decided that John Lewis gave us the best value and convenience.

Unlike some other chains they do not charge for delivery, at the time we were looking Debenhams charged £3.50 for each order made by a guest - so if we had 20 items on the list they would have had £27.00 to deliver it all, I thought this was rather cheeky of them when if we ordered all 20 items together they would have delivered them for £3.50..

John Lewis did not charge us for delivery and we could also find many of the items we wanted and we could organise it online rather than having to trapse round the shop.

We found putting the list together very easy and updating it and changing it could be done at any time online. They also sent us some little cards to give to our guests so they could access the list.

When it came to delivery this was organised swiftly, we did experience a few problems when one item wasn't in with the delivery but we kind of forgave them for that when an expensive duvet cover had been included in error - we got £30 for it on ebay!

They quickly sent us the missing item as well.

Summary: A good wedding gift list service.

Just as well you didn't go for Wrapit.

Sounds like a good idea. Sneaky of Debenhams to charge for delivery like that.
