To be honest i think if people could actually sit and think for a minute they would see they are also to blame. regarding comment about water damage. The shop puts packet in sealed bag, bag goes in to delivery van, bag comes out and straight into lab. most water damage comes from either dampness or water getting to the camera. I worked in the lab in the past for a number of years and you have no idea how much work is involved in the care of your photographs it may not seem like that but when at peak times 30,000 35mm films pass though the lab as well as everything else, as you can imagine problems happen. Like a neg break in the processor. Your film doesn't get developed on its own it can be your film and 59 other peoples but i can assure you from shop staff to lab operators and customer services they all try their best . Everyone wants their photographic memories to be perfect just as the human eyes sees them but sometimes mistakes happen. Also regarding mail ordering if you think back to just b4 xmas how many xmas cards and items take longer than expected. No one is perfect.
