Advantages: Cheap and reasonable quality prints too
Disadvantages: Need to get in before 6pm for overnight processing
Klick Photopoint is one of the cheapest places on the High Street for developing photos, and their service is good too. Klick Photopoint, as their name suggests, has appeared on the high street due to a number of mergers of old photo developing companies, and as a result have quite a wide presence up and down the country. In particular at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, they can be found a few doors away from Boots. I took 2 APS films in to Boots and asked how much it was to develop them - the reply was £7.95 each. Thinking this was a bit steep, I went into Klick, and the reply for overnight processing was £5.95 each - a whole £2 off per film. However, I'd missed the deadline for overnight, which was 6pm (they do not process on site, whereas Boots do). Nevertheless, I took their offer up, adn when I collected them (anytime after noon) I was even charged 50p for them than quoted, presumably because I had to wait an extra day. The quality of the developiong was reasonable, though I must admit Boots could proabably have done slightly better. However, the photos were on nice matt paper which showed good resolution and definition. The shops were also full of photo frames, and albums, and at the moment they have a half price Photo CD offer, at a couple of quid - bargain!
