Advantages: Cheap-ish, Convenient, Large brand
Disadvantages: Inflexible on large orders, Expensive reprints
Klick is a company I used to use a lot as they had a shop near to my home. The staff were OK and the service were OK but now I am into taking more photo's and sharing them with friends I have found a couple of problems with them that has led me to use others such as Truprint: Inflexible: I developed 8 films at once and the price per film was exactly the same as if I was doing one film - why no volume discount? eg 10% off? Lost photos: I went to collect a set of 3 photo's and when I got home the photo's were brilliant - but not mine! I took them back and they took 2 weeks to get mine back to me. Their excuse was that they give them out in the shops without checking there and then. Someone got my sets and I got theirs. I got a discount for my trouble, but as we all know the photos are worth a million times more than the paper they come on. They didn't appear that bothered about my predicament and seemed a bit pleased with themselves when they were found! Shouldn;t have lost them in the first place! Reprints: I think my last quote were £5 for the first set and about £4 for the reprints!!! Why? Surely their reprints should be cheap, or use reprints to get in larger orders as a loss leader. Postal service: They do one according to their website but it looks not as well organised as the Truprint/York company. You provide your own envelope for example.

- 26/09/02 Hi 'Steve in Leeds' and welcome to DooYoo.
Off to a great start there with your first op - although I might suggest that you focused a little too heavily on what they don't do and not the service they offer.
Obviously you have used different companies with better pricing, but I would like to have heard more about Klick.
An idea of things that would be helpful if included would be, pricing; quality of prints; customer service; extras; can they print for example t-shirts, mugs, gifts etc etc.
Try reading (and rating) some ops around the site - it'll give you a better idea of what I mean.
If you need any help updating this op or just with dooyoo in general, then please let me know.
Have fun - Fishbulb >><>?™ (Services Guide) |
