Advantages: Keeps other flat owners off your back, keep down legal costs, make sure project stays on track

Disadvantages: No really needed or economical if youhave less than a dozen flats in your block

I used Leasehold Solutions to buy my freehold at a block in South London and we would never have got to the 50% participation required if we had not used them. All the bickering and arguing among the flat owners certainly did my head in. But Alex and his team patiently and calmly answered their queries, some of them just silly questions.
It turned out cheaper than trying to do it ourselves as well because they shared the legal and surveying fees. And we knew they were working towards getting as many people on board as possible because that was how they charged.
The communication was excellent and they made sure everyone knew what was going on. We have a few hiccups - not of their making - but Leasehold Solutions kept the prokect on track.
Put it this way, I don't normally do reviews and I felt it was worth letting the world know here because they deserved to do well.
