Advantages: quick, no food decisions to make

Disadvantages: hair loss, and eyesight deteriorated rapidly

It is now 2 years since I completed the lighterlife programme. I started the diet weighing 12st 10lbs and lost 3 stones in 10 weeks. I have managed to keep most of the weight off (I now weigh 10stone 4lbs) and am able to maintain the weight I am now. I could not maintain my lowest weight, after being on LL I found that as soon as I ate normal food my weight increased so as I do not want to be on a diet for the rest of my life I accepted that I put half a stone on and have maintained this. The diet is very difficult to stick to and plays havoc with your social life but it really is worth putting your life on hold for a few weeks for such quick results. The main disadvantages of the diet was hair loss, I have really thick hair and it did go quite thin and the other problem I noticed was that my eyesight deteriorated quite rapidly although Lighterlife do not aknowledge that this is anything to do with their diet.

Summary: Good for a quick fix but wouldn't like to put my body through more than 3 months of it

Thanks I have just started 4 days ago and wanted to know if it was hard to maintain you weight after you stop as I was worried it would all go back on as soon as I came off it but i dont mind a half a stone here or there. This will make me all the more determined. xx
