Advantages: Continuous monitoring

Disadvantages: none

Today i discovered i can make a mousse from the strawberry shake mix,and it was certainly much more palatable.for those who are yelling about this being a starvation diet and it will never work etc, just thought you would like to know, that before you undertake this diet plan you have to fill in a health questionaire, take an extensive medical form to your doctor, get it filled in and signed, have your blood pressure checked ,get your urine tested every week and your blood pressure taken every 4 weeks, and you have a fully trained counsellr on call 24/7.This is on top of the 2 hours a week of cognitive therapy throughout the foundation course.

I am a fully trained nurse and this company are super cautious and very responsible, and the £66 would barely cover the counselling in the private sector, is hardly what i spent in the supermarket every week, and sure beats thousands of pounds for a gastric band. The benefit to my health is priceless.

Summary: VERY IMPRESSED

I am surprised that as a nurse you haven't had ant training in nutrition! Starvation diets are dangerous and are VERY unlikely to work long term. Susan

If you are a nurse you should know about the dangers of very low calorie starvation diets and yo-yo dieting in particular.

A colleague of mine lost 5 stone with this last year and every pound went straight back on. It's very sad for him but I don't believe this type of diet is sustainable for the vast majority of people. He also found his counsellor was less than useless.
