I am joining lighter life this evening- in about 1 hrs 20 minutes actually. I'm scared that I'm going to fail in my first week. I am 5ft 2 " and weigh 14 st. I want to loose at least 4 stone. Any words of encouragement would be welcome.
I have 4 children ranging from 25 - 18. I have a stressful job and am probably moving abroad to a hot country in September so would love to loose all my weight before then. The stress of the job, the kids and moving are hopefully not going to prove too much when my food prop is taken away. I've heard the first week is awful- How will I cope with the hunger, the lack of comfort and the headaches. I've got to give it a try. Tries every other diet and failed miserable. This has to work for me. Will let you know how I get on.

- 03/08/08 It's the 3rd August now and I'm still doing LL although on the under BMI 29 pilot programme now. I have lost 52lbs and feel great. I have another 8lbs to loose to get down to 10st. I'm so glad I've done this diet and stuck to it. LL is a miracle come true for me. |

- 02/04/08 I am going for my 4th weigh in tonight. I have lost 16 lbs in the first 3 weeks and it's working for me at the moment. I have a lovely group who are all supportive. We have all kept to the diet strictly so far and are doing well. I do worry about coming off the diet though and if I will put all the weight back on. I'm determined to do management which seems the key to it all. Thanks for all your comments. will try to be more regular in posting in the future. |

- 09/03/08 Good Luck-I am 10 days into the program and have never felt better about myself. I have been one of the lucky ones that hasn't really struggled with hunger but there are people in my group who have. Every body is different. My top tip for the first week is keep motivated-avoid being round people munching on food that you could easily have a bit of and view your food packs as food. The most important thing is the water-if you are feeling hungry have 500mls-it defiantly helps.
