January Update
Lipotrim 19 weeks - 5 1/2 stone weight loss & 6 dress sizes smaller.

I am now on my last week of Lipotrim and it has been a wonderful success for me. I feel healthier, happier and have much more confidence. I am now able to buy clothes in "normal" high street shops and more importantly by BMI has come down by 12 points. I still have another stone to go to reach my overall goal , but my body is telling me that it needs food and it is time to reintroduce food slowly & properly. I swim and do aerobics as well as walking the dog daily. Lipotrim has certainly given me a new outlook on life, now its up to me to carry on my hard work and keep all the weight off!

Does it work - Yes it does, but you need to have will power and determination to last on this diet.

First of all what is Lipotrim - for people who are not really sure it is a very low calorie, complete meal replacement diet, aimed for people who have a lot of weight to lose. It is available from certain chemists, to find out which ones you would need to check the Lipotrim website which is easy enough to find on the web.

What do you eat - there are 3 flavours of shakes, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate and Chicken soup and after your first week there are also peanut and coconut flapjacks. For women your day is made up by a choice of three from the above, for men it is two shakes or one shake and two flapjacks, the men's portions are bigger.
Drinks - you can drink black tea and coffee but you must drink at least four pints of water a day.

Cost - £36 pound a week - How much!!!!! say some people but this pays for seven days of "meals" and as a single person I've found while I'm doing this diet I'm actually saving money.

How does it work - far too scientific and complicated for me to explain so check out the website for info. There is also very useful dvd that you must borrow from the chemist to watch before starting the diet that explains all the facts and reasoning behind the diet. After an initial consultation and medical forms to complete you go to your chemist on a weekly basis for a weigh in and to purchase your food.

Taste - that is a matter of opinion. I have heard that people make the shakes with crushed ice. Personally I only like the strawberry shake as a shake. You have the option of making the vanilla and chocolate into a mousse, I much prefer this. The soup is rather bland but you get used to it, a friend of mine added curry or chilli favouring to add taste to hers but as I don/t like either of them I haven't tried this, I tend to make mine with slightly less water than is suggested to make it a bit thicker.
As for the flapjacks I have never tasted anything so bad in my life, not even the dog would eat it so I don't bother with them at all. I really wanted to like them as they would have been handy but I just can't stomach them.
If you eat mousse or flapjacks then you must drink extra water to make up for the loss of water you would have had from a shake. There is also a handy shaker maker you can purchase for a fiver from the chemist which is great if you are out all day, I've used mine a lot.

Weight loss - if you stick to this diet exactly as it says, you cannot fail to lose weight, if you do not, it does not work as well, I have actually found it quite easy because I know I can't have anything else, rather than my usual "well I've been good so one won't hurt" attitude that I've had when I've been dieting before. I am around food a lot with my job but after the first few days it really hasn't bothered me. Reading reviews about people's successes have really helped me a lot and now that I'm getting complements and praise from people who have noticed that I'm loosing weight I'm even more determined to reach my goal. I've read about people feeling ill, stomach upsets, hair falling out, headaches etc. Maybe I've been lucky but I have felt fine the whole time, I do drink a lot of water, I try to drink 6 pints a day.

How much of a weight loss - to date I have lost 2 stone.

People say that this is too much weight to lose in such a short time and that this sort of diet is not a healthy or safe way to lose weight, I know this is probably true but I am a fat person who desperately wants and needs to lose 7 stone so common sense takes a back seat and for me this diet is like a miracle diet. While I feel physically and mentally well on it I choose to use it, not only has my weight dropped but my BMI has also come down. But, what I am doing is using it to change my lifestyle, when you lose weight you gain confidence in yourself, I now go to a gym and go swimming twice a week, something I would have been far to embarrassed and ashamed to do before because of my size. I plan to stay on this diet until I lose 5 stone and then to start weaning myself off it and introducing healthy low fat, high protein food. On the advice of my Lipotrim consultant I occasionally have a piece of chicken or some tuna on the days that I go to the gym. For me this diet really works, keeping the weight off when I come off it is going to be the challenge but I hope looking in the mirror and seeing the new me will be all the incentive I need.

p.s. I know I've probably gone on a bit , but I have tried to take on board people's comments about review witing, I hope I've done a better job this time.

UPDATE - 12 WEEKS ON & HAVE LOST 4 STONE, I feel amazing

Summary: Lipotrim is a great way to change you lifestyle

This reads more like a forum post than a review - you haven't told us what the diet involves, how much it costs, where you find out more about it ( a website etc), and 24 hours is hardly a huge amount of time to base your opinions on, is it?
