Advantages: Unlike other diets you do not have to think about what you are going to eat.
Disadvantages: The first few days are very hard but stick with it because it will pass.
Hi, I've been on the Lipotrim programme for 10 days and it is definatley so far so good for me!! I'm 31, 5ft 3 and I've been overweight all of my adult life. I've tried every diet you can possibly think of in the past with no long term success on any. I heard about Lipotrim back in November last year from a friend of a friend who had been on it for 6 weeks and lost 2 stone. I knew then that I wanted to try it so I got myself geared up for starting in the New Year. I read everything on the Lipotrim website and loads of the reviews on this website and I made sure that there was no treats left over from Christmas in the house before I began on 6th Jan. My starting weight was 16 stone which is not at all good, especially as I am only 5ft 3. That gave me a BMI of 39 which totally disgusted me and made me even more determined to get started. The first 3 days were awful. I had headaches and felt weak and as if I was going to pass out. To keep myself going I kept coming back to this website and reading other peoples reviews and it really helped. By day 4 I felt much better, I had energy and only got a headache later on in the day. From then on I've had no headaches at all and really do feel ok. When I went back to be weighed after the first week I had lost 11lb so I was over the moon. There's no denying that this is an extreme diet and you do have to be very strong and very determined but I truly feel that after 15 years of trying to lose weight that I have found something that I can stick to and that is working for me. Of course I know I still have a long way to go but I'm going to keep at it and hopefully I will get where I need to be.
The chocolate and vanilla shakes for me are fine. I have tried the strawberry one too but I'm not really keen on strawberry flavoured things anyway so I just give it a miss. I always blend them with ice and sometimes add coffee to make it into a sort of frappacino type drink. I tried the soup twice and it really wasn't for me. Same goes for the flapjacks so I leave them alone as well. I drink between 2 and 3 litres of water a day and have the odd black tea with a sweetner.
I'm going to join the gym next week and will update this review with my progress as the weeks go by. Good luck to anyone who is thinking of trying this programme and I would welcome any emails offering advice.
Week 2 : Lost another 7lb. That's 1st 4 lb altogether. Just got the chocolate shakes this week. Joined the gym and I'm really noticing a difference in my body shape now. Here goes another week!!!!
Week 3 : Lost another 4lb. 1st 8lb altogether. Still going strong!!!
Week 4 : Lost another 5lb. 1st 13lb altogether. Started having 2 shakes and 1 meal a few days ago but the weight is still coming off. I just have either chicken or fish cooked in the oven with salad and balsamic vinegar (the meal that is on day 1 of the re-feed). I still don't have bread, rice, or pasta and not planning to introduce those things untill I've lost at least another 1 - 1.5 st. Sorted out all my clothes and got rid of at least half of my wardrobe (the other half now fits, horray!!!!) and went clothes shopping. What a buzz to be able to buy normal nice clothes from normal shops that for years I've had to avoid, brilliant!!!!!
Week 5 : Lost another 4lb. 2st 3lb now. Still feeling very positive and going to continue with 2 x shakes and 1 meal.
Summary: Very strict diet but great results so far.
