NHS Direct is a service available for free when you are in the need of some advice for your illness on the phone. You can call up for any one ill be side you if you wish to. The service is free on the phone and you do not get charged for ringing this number up. When you call up it can be a health related matter or even a dental matter to.

I have rang up NHS Direct around 3 times now in the last 2 months for different reasons. You are guaranteed each time to get through as you are never kept on hold with them. Often at first they make you speak to somebody else on the phone before putting you through to a nurse.

After ringing up for my tooth which was hurting a lot I was told a nurse would call me back in a hour. Before the hour limit had reach the nurse had called me back and was giving me advice on what was the best thing to do. She told me what I could do and also offered me arrangements for a emergency dentist appointment. I was not a member of any dental surgery so I found this very helpful of them.

The advice was good at the time to help me calm the pain down. Their nurses on the phone are very friendly and make you feel relaxed. This service is ideal to use when you feel the pain you have is a small one and their is no need to ask the doctor or go to the hospital.
