North British Housing, now recently changed to NBH (because they have more properties down south!) are the largest (IIRC) of the Registered Social Landlords (Housing Associations) in the UK. Never have I come across such poor management in the public sector (but I understand this scenario is repeated in many other similar housing association groups), speaking as someone who works in local goverment. NBH is gradually moving away from a localised structure (based at the local/regional offices) into a centralised structure, with all rent and repair issues being carried out by the central call centre (which also handles emails!) in Preston, Central ...  Read the complete review

There are certain housing associations that leave alot to be desired. A perfect example of such behaviour is the above. This housing association allows certain tenants to install CCTV to monitor their vehicle and when they discover that they have abused this by installing CCTV all around their home, coupled with microphones that have the ability to pick up spoken words within the immediate neighbourhood and cause much stress and tension to the remainder of tenants, they do little or nothing.
