There are a lot of poor reviews for Orange Recycle, but from my experience, they have always paid the full amount.
I sent my iphone 4 in, a year ago, via the orange shop, and I received a cheque 4 days later for the full amount (£270)
2 weeks ago, I sent in my iphone 4s - via their free envelope they sent to me. It took 8 working days for them to acknowledge it was received, which was slightly disconcerting. However, full value (£240) was paid into my account 3 days later.
My advice would be to ALWAYS send it via a recorded mail service and if there is even a slight fault with your phone (and they WILL find it), then you will not get the full money/phone back. (They are quite clear on the last point)
If you are able to send it in via orange stores then this is the best option!
Summary: ALWAYS send it via a recorded mail service or hand it in at the stores
