To me, this is a waste of time, as I go to a charity shop to peruse second hand items, not buy something new, but I'm one type of buyer and there are many others out there who I can't speak for. One thing that frustrates me is the amount of old people who ... more

In the world of charity shops there are lots to choose from, but Oxfam is undoubtedly the market's best! In the last ten years, shopping in a charity shop has become a pretty expensive activity. Personally i find it difficult to support charities that are not based in the thrid world because i think that these people are the most needy. I know that this is going to be a view not shared by all but i firmly beleive in what i have just said. i am sure that everyone reading this opinion will be fairly familiar with the work that Oxfam does. I am therefore using this to promote a regular monthly donation. Each month, i donate ten pounds which leaves my account by direct debit (therefore in theory i shouldn't miss it!). In return ...  Read the complete review
