OxfamNewest Review: ... something for charity rather than go somewhere else! As with many charity shops, Oxfam now sell their own range of products in store. In the world of charity shops there are lots to choose from, but Oxfam is undoubtedly the market's best! In the last ten years, shopping in a charity shop has become a pretty expensive activity. Of all those I frequent, Oxfam is the best 2nd hand shop to buy books in, as they're organised into categories and alpahbetical too. There are no other second hand shops that do this in my city, and they're missing a trick, as many of my friends go there for this in particular. One of the things I quite like about this shop is how it has a photocopier in it, which is a good way of making money as it's in a central student area. So, if you ever need ... There are many sides to Oxfam. Besides advertising on the television they have many shops. There is bound to be one in your area. They raise money for both home and overseas and even the raising of money is very various. One of the ways to raise this money is through one of their shops scattered all over the country. You can raise money for them by either taking things to the shop for them to sell on or of course you can go in and purchase items. We have two local Oxfam shops. Oxfam's slogan is "helping people to help themselves" and that is why i support the charity Oxfam. Personally i find it difficult to support charities that are not based in the thrid world because i think that these people are the most needy. I know that this is going to be a view not shared by all but i firmly beleive in what i have just said. i am sure that everyone reading this opinion will be fairly familiar with the work that Oxfam does. I am therefore using this to promote a regular monthly donation. Each month, i donate ten pounds which leaves my account by direct debit (therefore in theory i shouldn't miss it!). In return ...
