Ripples Waterlife Telford is a branch of the aquatic store, which has a few other stores around the midlands area.
This particular store is located on Stafford Park in Telford.
The Telford store is very large and spacious, and the stock is always extremely well organised and tidy, so it's very easy to browse the products and find what you are looking for. I have been to a few other smaller aquatic stores and they can sometimes be extremely messy and not very pleasant places. Ripples is completely different.
The store sells a huge range of products such as fish tanks and all the paraphernalia that goes with them (including a wide range of tropical and marine fish), pre-formed ponds and pond equipment, outdoor fish including a wide range of koi carp and a few items for reptiles such as vivarium's and decorations.
I have found the store to have very reasonable prices, they are definitely the most competitive in the Telford area.
The quality of the fish at the store is great, the display tanks they are kept in are always clean and well maintained, the fish are always clearly labelled and they have different areas for different types of fish (marine, tropical or outdoor). So you know which area to look at depending on what type of tank you have.
I have always found the staff at the store extremely helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about their products and the fish, and will always give you the best advice about setting up a tank or pond, I have visited other stores where the staff are completely useless (Pets at Home) and don't really know anything about the products they are selling. The staff at Ripples have always been happy to help with any query that I have had, and have managed to solve any problems with my tank. They also offer free water tests, which is very useful, you can buy a kit to do it yourself too and they will explain how to use it.
I don't have children but my god children have visited the store a few times and they love looking at all the fish, and especially the pond fish as they very often have extremely large fish available, and the children seem to be fascinated by them, plus they have a large stock of clown fish otherwise known as "nemo's" which children seem to love as well.
They do have a website for more information about their stores and you can actually mail order fish, but I think it's mainly pond fish and in large quantities. Their website is
