My wife decided back in October that she had had enough and needed to lose some weight. Part of my degree dealt with metabolism and proper diet, so I have always been skeptical of her various short-lived attempts in the past. I looked over the Rosemary Conley diet, however, and saw no particular danger to health or of gaining the weight back quickly.

After 7 weeks my wife lost a stone, and she lost it slowly enough for it to be permanant. Christmas was the real test. We went back to my parents for a week and a half and generally ate what we wanted, and when we got back home my wife hadn't gained anything. On some of the other diets a return to normal eating triggers a quick weight gain. Not this time!

The best thing about the diet is that she does not appear to be suffering. She is not ever really hungry, and she gets a treat, like a chocolate bar, every day. She feels great and looks great. This has easily been her most successful diet, and she's been happiest on it as well.
