Advantages: hundred of channels, reasonable price, good customer services

Disadvantages: freezes during bad weather sometimes

The on-screen menu is a doddle to use, listing channels by category for easy access and showing you what's due to come on each channel with the option to look even days into future channel listings (saves you the £1 a week on a TV Guide)

--- Coverage ---

Coverage varies often depending on how your house is positioned and located (i.e. tall trees could cause problems) but Sky does cover the majority of the country as far as i am aware (phone them if you're unsure).

--- Signal/Problems ---

Where i live (small village) the signal is great the majority of the time however when the wind picks up a lot or a storm is about there is moments when it freezes. After a few seconds or restarting the Sky box normally fixes this though.

We have had a few problems with our bank and so have had Sky cut off a number of times however phoning them up is nice and easy, not too long a queue from my experience too and within 2 hours of paying the bill over the phone it's been back on as normal. Nice and quick.

--- Worth It? ---

Depending on how much you use television i would say the average family home would benefit from it, there's rarely nothing on to watch, with hundreds (literally) to choose from, from sci-fi to cartoons.

It is also good value for the amount of channels you get with it (frequently being added to) however for the occasional television viewer Freeview may be a better option as a one off payment.

Great for families and the avid television watcher. The range of specialist channels such as the range of music channels and sports channels available is vast and always being added to!
