I have been a sky tv customer for about ten years now excluding a small break last year when I went to bt vision (god how I missed Sky 1) After reading the reviews I have to agree with the view that Sky is getting more and more expensive however in my area the only other option is freeview or bt vision (no virgin where I am) and sky is ... Sky offers fantastic quality programming, with channels suck as Sky Sports, Sky Movies, Sky One to name but a few. Whilst you have to pay more for Sky TV and for premium channels, the quality is undeniable. Plus, with HD options now it looks like Sky are continuing to improve in the ever moving world of technology. Because Sky ... Read the complete review

I took up Sky TV when I was moving into my flat as I just needed to have more than the basic offerings out there and with my area not yet having freeview availability (and not set to for another few years) and with Virgin Media telling me they would need to come and investigate if I could get service and not having a time frame available for doing ... We have had Sky Tv for a number of years at home and Sky plus for about two years. I cannot belief how expensive it now is, I have been thinking of exploring something cheaper. Is it only me that finds it difficult to find something to watch? They seem to repeat the same episodes of programmes over and over again. They also seem to have a lot ... Read the complete review

I was previously a Sky customer, and once my contract ran out, I promised myself I would never go with them again. This was because I found their customer service less than helpful, and like some others who have posted reviews here, I did not realise that the 12 month contract renews if you move house. I found myself in the frustrating situation ... Read the complete review

I first became aware of sky tv back in 1990, then called bsb, it was in the room at the hotel I stayed in for nearly 7 weeks while I was intending to relocate to Bristol with a previous employer, the thing I remember then was watching cricket test matches - England v West Indies. I was so impressed at the time, that when we could afford ... Read the complete review

After recently moving house I have, for the first time in my life, subscribed to Sky TV. Initially I wanted Virgin Media as I have always used them in the past and although I had teething problems with them I have found their service reliable and consistantly good value. I was, however, told that I couldn't get Virgin in my new house and so ... Read the complete review

I bought the basic package on Sky TV and this was mainly because I liked the offer on the broadband and phone calls. So far all has been well. I have had little problem with recieving signal etc and its installation was smooth, no delays etc. The person on the phone was very helpful and freindly. Though as with all big ... Satellite TV is the biggest supplier of Pay-Digital TV in the UK, and Sky has the stranglehold on that very market. With around 9.5m Customers, there is no doubting it is the clear winner in the race for subscribers, with its nearest rival, Cable operator, Virgin Media, operating with around 3.5m, however, Cable is the Number One choice ... I have been a Sky TV customer now for several years, and I must say I have never had a problem with their service. Their customer support seems to be very friendly and appears to be in scotland. So I can fully understand them as a pose to other providers who have international call centres Sky TV provides possibly the best ... Read the complete review

TV wise I really rate sky, the only thing that lets them down from my point of view is that they have great offers to attract new customers but existing loyal customers are not eligible for them (I'm only jealous as I wish I could get Sky plus for 49 pounds not the 99 pounds they charge existing customers). Telephone works out for me ... Read the complete review

Sky TV has its advantages and its disadvantages, to be honest if you get the same package as we have, which is around £21 a month is Sky TV with all 6 entertainment packages, we don't have the movies or the sports package. The service is good, and we do pay a good price, and as me and my husband have different TV choices we do watch at least 2 of ... Read the complete review

Not long after my son got married I decided, along with my husband, that we would take advantage of the 'Introduce a Friend Scheme' being run by Sky. To take advantage of this I had to pay £99 installation fee and, once the Sky was installed, both my son and myself would receive £50 of M & S Vouchers EACH. This was in September ... Sky offers a great variety of channels, with alot of quality programmes on them. Sky1 have most of the big dramas such as Lost, Prison Break and 24. And there's a good chance if a show does good on another channel then Sky1 will be snapping it up. I think it's worth getting Sky just so you can watch Prison Break and Lost. And if your ... I have had sky tv installed ever since i moved into my own house about 3-4 years ago, the house i moved into already had a sky dish and all the cabling so all i needed to do was ring up sky, order a box and set up a account which was simple enough. Sky,what a great station to watch repeats over and over. You pay all that money montly to watch the same old movies night after night. After 2 years with Virgin Media, I decided to try Sky just for sake of free Indian channels and other free-to-air channels. When I ordered Sky, I thought it will be as easy as my previouls experience with Telewest (now Virgin Media). If I had a hint of what is going to happen, I would not bother with going for Sky. I decided to write this view to perhaps even out the mostly negative feedback Sky has been given on this site, by sharing my experiences with Sky. I am not employed by Sky, I hasten to add, it's just that Sky have been pretty good to me after some absolutely abysmal service from other providers. I also don't see the point in going into detail ... Read the complete review
