Advantages: Can still eat your fill and enjoy your food.
Disadvantages: Can be disheartening when weight won't shift,but it will..
I first joined slimming-world about 18 months ago when i only weighed 10 stone, i say only because compared to now i feel like i was a super-waif. I did reach my target weight of 8 stone and it didn't take long for me to do this. Fast forward to now and i now weigh in at 12stone,okay so i have had a baby, but that is wearing a bit thin as it was 9 months ago so i have finally stopped useing that excuse and admitted that i am fat!! So why have i started with slimming-world?? Well because with there eating plan it is so easy to follow and more so if you are a pig like me!! You have a choice of a green day or an original day it all depends on what you are like. Eg; big meat-eater or a real vegetable devourer. If you pick a green day this means unlimited,vegetables,fruit,potatoes,pasta and rice. you just have to watch how much meat you have and the same aplies with fish. If you choose to have an original day the same applies, you can have unlimited meat,fish,bread, but have to be careful with the vegetables,although i think fruit is okay to eat in plentiful supply. You are allocated a certain amount of "sins" per day how many you choose is up to you depending on how much weight you actually wish to lose. For example, A cornetto ice-cream is 10 sins where an Aero fun-size chocolate bar is only 4, so if you had this and used the foods that aren't in your allocated days as sins, you can eat so much it is untrue. If you really can't face going to the club then log on to, www.slimming-world.co.uk and they will give you a free 14 day trial recipe sheet, Or if you want to buy their magazine under the above heading this costs £1.95 and is excellent value as it has everything already in it. I say go on give it a try, all you have to lose is your waist-line!!

- 05/10/03 Your information is slightly wrong. On all days you can eat fruit & veg. On green you also have pasta, rice and potatoes. On Red you also have meat and fish. Never can you have as much bread as you like. Sorry to correct you but if you did it your way you might end up putting on weight instead of losing it. |

- 22/10/00 I will give this a try I think. On the below points, I just cannot exercise when I am hungry, but this seems like you get plenty to eat, so will motivate me to exercise as well. Thanks for the tip. |
