Advantages: Much meat and fresh fruit as you like!

Disadvantages: It's still a diet

I have just started at Slimming World and my opinion is that I like it.
I know every dieter starts off full of optimism when they first start but what i like about SW is that I really don't have to alter my eating habits too much to be on the plan. I think if anything I wasn't eating enough and when I did it was the wrong things because I was hungry.
The big plus for me is that and I'll apologise to any vegetarians in advance is that you can eat as much meat as you like. With that knowledge -far from gorging myself because I know I can I am only eating modest amounts. However if I get to 11pm and I'm starving and most of the day's food is consumed then rather have to look at another lettuce leaf or stick of celery in the face I can have a chicken leg, or a steak or an omelette. You may never do it, but it's comforting to know that you can!
Another big plus is that you can eat as much fruit as you like, which I love. I'll eat a galia melon to myself-no problem! A thin 2 inch slice is no good to me. As Shirley Conran says life too's short to stuff a mushroom(hope I've got the right person) well I say life's too short to halve a banana!
Yes I know I still have to go steady with bread and fats and sugar etc and it is a diet at the end of the day but just the knowledge that i need never go to bed with hunger pains is a big plus.
There's also lots of manufacturer's foods that you can have when you want without endangering your diet. I'd rather eat fresh food- but again when cold and hungry I'll make sure i'll have some in the freezer just in case!
