Advantages: helps teach u good habits, friendly leaders
Disadvantages: the weekly cost
I am ashamed to say i am an avid fan of weight watchers!
I have lost over 4 stone on the programme and have kept a steady weight now for over 2 years.
I used to be a weight watchers leader for a while so I feel i know a bit about the programme!
Weight watchers has changed over the years to the most recent programme of "Discover Plan", which is a combination of the Point system (which i will explain about) and Core Plan.
The basics or fundamentals of the weight watchers Points system is that every food has a Points value, this value is worked out by the amount of calories in the item and the saturated fat in it.
Everyone is allocated a daily points allowance as you can eat whatever you like as long as you stay within your Points! You can save up to 4 points a day for later on in the week but you must use them within the week.
There are weight watchers groups across the globe, you can find your nearest group on the weight watchers website.
When you join your group you pay an initial fee to join, usually £9.00, then a weekly fee of £5.50. At the group you get weighed by your leader and then have a hour half talk about the topic of the week.
The support you get is great and the thought of being weighed by someone else usually helps to keep you motivated!
Summary: a good way to lose weight
