Advantages: helps you lose weight healthily
Disadvantages: quite expensive, but cheaper in the long run than going to meetings.
...about losing weight? Do you loathe the thought of going to slimming classes, or do you live in a remote area where you can’t get to a class, or don’t have the time? If so, for anyone serious about losing weight, I can thoroughly recommend this c.d. However you have to want to lose weight, and be in it for *you* and nobody else. I’m not a success story yet, I’ve been using the cd rom for about 2 months now (although I’ve had a break for Christmas). I have lost a lb week since I started. It’s not a ‘quick fix’ diet, nor will it produce miraculous results straightaway. Weight watchers diet isn’t really a ‘diet’ as you have come to know, its more a way of life, a way of changing your eating habits for the better. This cd-rom really helps you get on track. It’s very easy to install onto your pc. You can input your weight, height, measurements (hip, chest, waist) etc. The Weight watchers diet relies on a points system, where you are allowed to eat so many ‘points’ per day. Depending on your weight and height this amount varies. I am currently allowed 22 points a day. By using the cd-rom, it is easy to track your eating and count your points. It has a extensive database of foods, including restaurant meals, supermarket brands etc already programmed in, and you can add your own foods (as long as you know the kcal per 100g, and the size of the portion, and the amount of saturated fat in the item) I find adding what I’ve eating to the cd-rom really helps me keep going, because to be honest, I don’t feel as though I’m on a diet at all. I eat my full 22 points a day, and I am eating well, it works by that fact that you automatically start eating stuff that is less in points, such as vegetable and salad, so you can have more of those foods. Don’t get me wrong, you can still eat chocolate, crisps,
etc, as long as you count the points. Every week I weigh myself at my local supermarket, and input my new details in to the program. It plots a chart of your weight loss and your inch loss which is a great confidence boost to look at if you’re feeling low. There are even meal plans and ideas, a recipe book, a points calculator, as well as much more information on the cd-rom. Even if you go off the rails, there’s no need to panic, the program accepts that some days you go over your allotted points allowance, and you can then make up for it the next day, for example by doing more exercise. Exercise allows you to ‘earn’ more points, to either save up for a big occasion, such as a meal out, or to speed up your weight loss. All in all, if you’re serious about losing weight, this is one way of doing it that works, keeps you on track and ensures you’re still having a healthy diet and losing weight.

- 12/01/01 Sounds like it is exactly what I need after eating so much at Christmas! |

- 05/01/01 I haven't been to meetings, so can't really say, but I just know I couldn't go and be weighed in front of strangers! LOL! I think in the long run you do save money as you've got the cd-rom for ever once you've bought it. |

- 05/01/01 Sounds much better than the boring lectures than you get at the meetings, which cost you a fortune in the long run. |
