Advantages: Weight Loss without the deprivation

Disadvantages: Week 1

I joined weight weightwatchers about 2 weeks ago and I have to say I was sceptical I didn't think it would work unless I starved, I enjoy my food so I thought I was going to hjave to really cut back.

On my first meeting I was weighed and given the pure points book 1, which my leader (the person who runs the group) suggested you try to stick to as best you can it nearly killed me as most days I never know what I want until I want it, most of the time I used menu plans from other days if I was on day 2 and prefered the lunch of day 3 and the dinner of day 6 thats what i'd have. I went to my second meeting convinced i'd but weight on as I never seemed to have been even the slightest bit hungry, but i'd actually lost 2 pound in one week, (If you think 2 pounds isn't a lot think what 2 pounds of meat would looks like?)

I'm now into week 2 of the pure points and I can plan my own meals, each food has a point value and i'm allowed a certain number of points a day so I just keep track of what points i've used no food is a sin just as long as you allocate the points. Most vegetables are no points if what you are having doesn't look enough add no point veggies.

To be quite honest I don't seem to be able to use up all the points i've been allocated, so 2 pounds have gone with hopefully more to follow.

Hi

Just thought I'd check back and let you all know how i'm doing, i've lost 7 pounds which is 1/2 a stone and am still hoping to lose more. I have found it quite easy as I really seem to be able to eat what I want and I am always full. I don't seem to be able to use all the points i'm allocated

I have just started weight watchers (yesterday), and I too am a bit daunted by the first week, as I was led to believe that you could eat what you want as long as you stay within your points. I have a very fussy husband who wouldn't touch most of week one food. so I'm off to Tesco's in a minute to either get him lots of 'meals for one', or to just count points for week one, I haven't decided yet. This is the first 'proper' diet that I've gone on. I've always starved myself before. But I've got more to lose this time, so hopefully weight watchers will be the answer. Good luck for your next few weeks. I will let you know how I get on!
