There are coffee kiosks and snacks available at very reasonable rates thanks to the W.R.V.S. Whenever I go to give blood who provides me with a drink and a biscuit after I have done my bit but those kind ladys from W.R.V.S. There are many other things they do visiting people and providing many services to the comunity I think that they are great. The W.R.V.S. is a charity which has always been more about giving of time than money. I have not been involved with this service but I have great respect to those who are. Whenever I have been to the hospital I have been aware of the great work these people do. There are coffee kiosks and snacks available at very reasonable rates thanks to the W.R.V.S. We do shop occasionally at charity shops and church bookstalls, particularly for books and glassware, and we’ve one or two really good buys in the family from such sources. On the other hand, when it comes to actually disposing of our surplus everyday clothes, bedding, curtains, white goods, furniture or similar items, the charity shop is used only ‘as a last resort’. Don’t get me wrong, definitely 'saleable' surplus items of stationary, records/CD’s, old books and some magazines or very fancy clothes – doo go to the local Cancer Research or Shelter shop.
