Advantages: For Children
Disadvantages: Might be difficult for people to get to
Yorkhill is a famous hospital that helps sick children.
I have been to this hospital numerous times because when my brother was born he had to spend the first few years of his life in and out of here due to the conditions he was born with and still he has to attend hospital every 2 months for check up. He even attend Great Ormond Street but their was nothing they could to help him.
I feel the staff in Yorkhill are very friendly/caring and also do their best to accomodate you.
Every year around 150,000 children from all over Scotland attend Yorkhill Hospital.
Fundraising is a big part of Yorkhill Hospital. Every year there are many events to raise money for Yorkhill, these include fun runs, can collecting, as well as adults doing their own bit for Yorkhill Hospital.
Yorkill as many beds to look after those in hospital longer periods of time and for those day visitors. The hospital provides care for newborn babies right up to children around 13 years of age, altho my brother is 16 he is still getting care and treatment from Yorkhill every 2 -6 months just to check on how he is doing.
There are many doctors in Yorkhill who specialise in a lot of different aspects of children care so there is always a doctor here who will be able to help you and your child if not they will be assured to find you someone who will be able to help either in the hospital or in another hospital (reason my brother went to Great Ormond Street)
I feel Yorkhill is a hospital that I would feel confident of taking my small children to as they give you all they can and you feel your child is in safe hands, unlike some hospitals.
Yorkhill to this date has saved many kids life and will continue to do so for many years to come.
For all those reading this, this is not the actually hospital this is the Foundation the website/ fundraising for the hospital not the hospital itself.
Summary: Saved many kids life

I also spend a lot of time at this hospital and agree the care is excellent, in fact my child wouldnt be here without them but the Yorkhill foundation is not the hospital but the charity that raises money for the hospital (the one that has the shop in the entrance of the hospital selling gifts and stuff) |
