      Advantages

      Disadvantages

a totally not recommended tv receiver.

I recently got my 32 inch HDTV with built in freeview HD inside, and then found out I had to insert an antenna to receive and watch channels. I was browsing on amazon and came across this hd box, at only £40 odd. Firstly I will tell about how it freezes here and then, which leaves me turning it off, then back on again; which is very frustrating when I am trying to watch Eastenders or so etc. I rang up the company, and then amazon and both told me nothing they could do, so I was totally disappointed as well as angry about that. The menu guide which allows you to see what programs your watching is not at all the best. Its a bit slow when you press the button on the remote, about a 2 second delay; in other words the program guide is horribly laggy. The only thing I suppose good about the product is that I can get over 50 odd channels to watch, and about 4 of them in HD.(of course with the programs cutting off here and then). If you have recently purchased a hd tv with built in freeview/freeview hd like I have, I totally would not recommend you to purchase this receiver, as its a waste of money and does not do the job properly.

Additional info: It came with a HDMI cable which I was pleased about, which meant I could instantly watch programs in full HD 1080p. The sound sometimes cuts out, but this is usually due weak sockets, but can be easily replaced.

Overall definitely not recommended for first buyers. I would suggest to pay slightly more and get more benefits out of the receiver.
