Advantages: Great interface, full 7 day EPG

Disadvantages: cost (at the time) nothing really

my parents have owned this freeview box for a number of years now. It has only recently become redundant because we've purchased bt vision. This is a very nice little box. for those of you who simply want to watch freeview then this is the box for you. It doesnt boast many features like PVR but the interface is clean and fast to respond, ive seen cheep freeview boxes before and infact i own one and this is far superior to all of them, with cheaper models and boxes there can be a lot of delay between switching channels and navigating the guide, with this one its all fast and incredibly good. I am a real fan of tompson boxes for there ability to be updated. We brought this box when freeview hit the market for about £100 which seems expensive now but it wasnt then. Freeview then only had now and next text and a few channels, with tompson the firmware was constantly updated so now even on a box we purchased 3 years ago it has features like 7 day programme guide which some cheap boxes dont even have now.

overall this is a very nice box, if your not going to buy this one i would recomend tompson for stand alone boxes as their build quality and interface is very nice indeed.
