“ Brand: Calvin Klein / Type: Aftershave / Gender: for Men „
I am quite a fan of Calvin Klein, having always bought their merchandise when younger. As well as their 'Crave' brand, which I looked into and purchased a few years back, I tried out this Euphoria aftershave too. The Crave variety is really summery with quite a light and fruity scent, so it may be more appropriate for this time of year. However, like this Euphoria aftershave, it doesn't have great staying power and isn't especially nice.
The Euphoria aftershave comes in a cuboid maroon colour box. The Euphoria logo is to the top right, indicating it is indeed for men just to avoid confusion! The Calvin Klein logo is situated in the bottom left on the front side. The bottle itself is 100ml in volume. I'd like to point out that this is an aftershave as opposed to an eau de toilette for example, meaning it's naturally not of as 'good quality' as an eau de toilette mainly meaning it will not last as long on your skin.
The bottle is quite unique. It's in a glass bottle with rounded corners at the top and a matt silver lid. The aftershave inside has a slight golden tint and has the same text as on the box. The silver cap lifts off to reveal the spray. It does work well and sprays out a nice even layer. However, getting to the end of this aftershave now, it is quite difficult to spray out the last remains! I find myself looking for where the plastic tube from the spray mechanism lies, and trying to tilt the bottle to get the remaining aftershave to the open end of the tube to spray it out! It can sting a bit after a shave as it does contain alcohol - also may not be ideal if you have just cut yourself!
As for the aroma, it is certainly unique but one I have grown bored of compared to other aftershaves I own. It's quite oriental with a slight spicy and even floral scent to it, although maintaining it's masculinity. Some of the ingredients include ginger pepper cocktail, black basil, cedar leaf and 'creamy suede'. You can't really imagine much from these names, but I can say it's quite a light and fresh scent, with an oriental feel to it.
As for lasting power, it certainly could be better. It radiates quite nicely from myself after applying it, but an hour or so later it will die off quite a bit, and only if someone was licking my neck might they notice it! Well I wouldn't say it's that bad, but it certainly dies down quickly. Because of this, I tend to put 3-4 sprays on, and might too spray my wrists (it's all about the pulse points).
As for attire, I would say this aftershave should go with casual attire. It could perhaps fit a casual attire on a summer's evening when you're going out for a meal. I'm sure it's not the most widely known scent and it isn't that rich, so wearing it clubbing wouldn't really work! You can purchase a 100ml bottle for around £30 online. This isn't actually very cheap considering it's not an eau de toilette but you are paying for the name - Calvin Klein, too! Overall I'd recommend trying it out but wouldn't say it's really worth buying - perhaps a mistake I made back in the day!
A sensual, oriental fragrance for men with top notes of ginger, pepper, raindrop accord and chilled sudachi (Japanese citrus); middle notes of black basil, cedar leaf and hydroponic (gravel-grown) sage and base notes of creamy suede, patchouli, Brazilian redwood and solid amber /
