my father loves it, but hubby hates it
I can only speak with what my father has told me, after i treated him to a tube of this for his birthday last year.
you dont need a great deal to make a very large lather to cover the whole chin and neck area, with a wonderful manly smell.
My father lathers his in his hand, rather than a shaving brush to make the lather, using an amount the size of a penny
dad suffers from raver burn and a rash, and has tried everything over the years, and none have come up to this standard.
He said his face feels hydrated afterwards, not tight, and he has experienced no stinging. With a wonderful, smooth shave using his regular everyday bic razer
He now asks for a few tubes each christmas and birthday
unfortunately, hubby was quite the opposite! - for some reason he found it didnt give him a smooth save compared to his regular shaving gel, and he hated the smell - so i've come to the conclusion that this maybe suited to an older man
This product was bought for my boyfriend who doesn't like using "all that girly smelly stuff". From my point of view it smelt lovely, very masculine but light enough not to be overpowering, even the boyo liked it!
My boyfriend has quite sensitive skin that gets very aggravated by shaving daily. From the very first use he was impressed. His skin felt less tighter than usual and a lot smoother, even onto the next day which meant he didn't have to shave again. It's not greasy so absorbs very quickly and doesn't make the skin look shiny.
The advertising states that it also protects the epidermis from daily irritants which I'm not too convinced about - although the boyfriend's skin has looked less irritated over the last year. One downside is that it would be useful to have some sort of SPF included as I feel you are less likely to moisturise following using it.
It isn't cheap but a little goes a very long way, the first tube lasted just under a year which if you compare it to other products is fantastic. The packaging also looks great and again "not girly".
