I wanted a cruelty free brand. Following extensive research this brand fit the bill. Price - economy - ethical - performance - cruelty free. This sounded the perfect fit for me.
*Short comment on the packaging*
Minimal and reusable. This appeals to me as I like minimal fuss on the packet and the fact that it can be reused to store the razor safely is a big bonus.
*Out you come my beauty*
I ordered a purple handle and was impressed to discover that it is made out of recycled yogurt pots - I would not have guessed as the handle is high quality and rather elegant. Light and ergonomically well designed to remain steady and comfortably gripped.
The blades snap in place much like a Gillette Venus would do - I find this easy and safe. The blades are very slim and made from titanium. They have a small lubricating strip the to top. There are three blades. Very high quality and made to last a good length of time.
*Shave and see*
As most ladies will identify the underarm hair is quite fine and can easily clog up a razor. I have managed to do this with every razor that I have owned thus far. The trick is to rinse the razor after every sweep under the arm and not as I am tempted to do - three and four sweeps and then a little splash! So with this in mind I trialled the razor and can report my findings after a good few months of using it with the first blade insitu.
The razor handles very well. Light and easily gripped. Full control at all times. Fits into the contours nicely for the difficult to reach hairs. Super close shave that feels silky soft afterwards. No cuts up to now. Relatively easy for me to keep the blades unclogged - though at times I have been tempted to leave the rinse too long in between sweeps and the blade became full of hair that was time consuming to remove. When used properly and rinsed after one sweep all is hair free.
This is by far the best result that I have had with a razor and it is easily maintained if you stick to the rules. Blade lasts an impressive length of time so economical too.
*Legs and bikini line*
I have long legs so therefore lots of effort here. Not one of my favourite activities so if this product can make life easier I will be happy. Once again I have trialled the razor for a few months and the same blade has remained insitu.
Shaving the legs is a doddle with the light weight handle and effective, lubricating triple blade. Hair is removed close to the skin without dragging or cutting. I was anxious that I may cut the skin as the blade is more exposed than the Gillette Venus but up to now I have had no cuts. One sweep and then a rinse of the blade helps to keep the blade unclogged - easy.
Bikini area is close shaved and silky smooth. All contours of the body are reached nicely with the blade lending itself to this task very well. As the design is slim the blades are allowed to reach places that other razors have struggled with so that was very impressive.
A close shave in all areas of the bikini line and legs. So easy to handle the light - slightly built razor. Grip sturdy at all times as the ridges on the handle secure the unit well within the hand. A sleek job.
Normal usage for me would be approximately twice per month as I have pretty slow hair growth. The trial took place over a three month period. During this time the blade has remained rust free and sharp. The lubricant strip has remained effective. The blade is still in use and not ready to be changed. The blade is protected by a clear plastic sheath when not in use and this is easily positioned and removed.
*Its unisex you know!*
Suitable for men and women.
Easy to recommend this one to you. Cost effective as the blade will last and last if you maintain it well and rinse between sweeps. Superb design means that the lightweight and sleek unit will be safe in your hands as you guide the slim triple blade head over the contours of your body. A close shave is obtained with this unit and the skin is silky smooth thanks to the small lubricant strip that sits above the platinum blades.
