***WHY*** Tired of fearing electrical products can't be taken into the shower? Want the flexibility to shower and groom at the same time? Want a razor blade that you can just flip upside down and you're ready to trim? Then Wilkinson Razor/Trimmer is the answer to all your prayers!! That too with a reliable brand- Wilkinson! Has never let me down. ***HOW** The trimmer works by having a razor on one side for your underarms, legs, thighs etc. and then a trimming function for the bikini/private area. It has different settings and a plastic cover on the trimmer which can be adjusted according to how closely you want to trim. You can completely remove the cap for a really close trim. It does make a loud vibrating noise when the trimmer is on, but it does a good job! The blade is also very sharp and replacement sets can be purchased for as little as £5 depending on how often you use it and therefore make it blunt, needing replacement or whether you have fine/thick hair. ***WHAT*** This is an affordable product available for around £10 (the price I paid or less online actually!!) - it's good value for money in the long run, all you'll need to replace are the batteries for the trimming function of the razor-trimmer. Mine came in a teal green colour but I've seen a pink version too! Rubber grip so it's not slippery in the water. Easy to wash the hairs out of the blade and trimmer- just run under warm soapy water/warm water. Comes with holder (but I dont use this because it falls off).
I bought the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini Trimmer after seeing an advert on the television. I had always used mens razors for my nether regions as i found they were far smoother and were less irritable than the womens. The fact that there is a trimming electric razor on it too meant that i could shape it however i liked! When i first bought it, i found the blade end terrific, I had no irritation and it was plenty sharp enough for the job! Also, i find the heads last alot longer than the other brands i have tried. The electric razor end has an adjustable length option, or you can take it off completely just to do some trimming before shaping. It worked like a charm, until one day i went to use it and the blades had stopped vibrating. It pulled my hair and left a non serious cut. I had a fiddle to get the blades moving again, but it no longer works. I now have a 2 month old razor and trimmer which i can only use the razor end of
Had this for no more than six months. Doesn't work (and I didn't use it extensively). So not recommended
When I first saw this I instantly wanted one for the obvious reason of it being a razor and a bikini trimmer in one. However being on a budget at the time thought it's original price to be a little expensive especially when the replacement razor blades can be a little pricey themselves. Anyway, I managed to get my hands on one when they were on offer for half the price. The first thing you notice about this product is that it does look a little bulky, however it is very easy to use and comfortable to hold. One side of the product holds the usual razor blade, which can be replaced, and on the other end a battery operated trimmer with 4 different settings. The trimmer has a cap over the top which allows you to control which setting you want to use depending on how close a shave you want. Removing the cap completely gives you the closest shave. The battery can easily be replaced by unscrewing the middle of the razor, although you shouldn't need to do this for quite a while. The actual trimmer however, cannot be replaced and so would require you to buy a new razor completely. Now onto the good and bad bits. The razor is actually pretty good and is gentle on the skin so have kept it for this reason. The trimmer part in my opinion wasn't so good. I did like it and it did give a rather good trim, but that was without the guard on. In fact I've never used it with the guard on as I found it to be pretty useless for the trim I wanted. Despite this, even on the lowest setting I still didn't find the trimmer to do a great job, and although I did persevere for months in case I changed my mind, I've decided to stick to the standard bikini razors. Overall it is a good product that is worth trying, it just wasn't the ideal bikini trimmer for me. I still use it as a normal razor though, and occasionally do use the trimmer when I've forgotten to top up on bikini razors. A very useful lady product to have.
I was fortunate enough to win one of these in a magazine competition recently, lucky as they actually retail for anywhere between £12-20 on the high street, if I was going to buy one I would certainly shop around online to find a good deal or wait until somewhere like Boots had them on special offer. To be fair though this is an item you can use for many years, replacing the batteries and the blades as you go - so I do think it is worth the price tag. Mine arrived in an abundance of hardcore plastic wrapping of the kind which is frustratingly difficult to get into with slicing yourself on ragged edges (an immediate annoyance!) and contained the trimmer/razor itself, a holder which can be attached the side of a shower and a battery (AA size). It is so simple to use it does not actually require any real instructions, you simply insert the battery where instructed and voila! You have a double ended razor and bikini trimmer. The beauty of this product is that it is designed to be used in the shower so there are no issues about electrocuting yourself. The bikini trimmer end has an adjustable shield which can be moved up and down to adjust the length you want to shave to and the electric shaver is operated with a simple one touch on/off button. The other end is a standard Wilkinson Sword ladies razor with the triple blade and moisture bar, so you can shave your underarms and legs in the usual fashion. Although the body of the razor is wider and heavier than normal due to it containing the battery, it is not so heavy as to be cumbersome and is very nicely designed to be ergonomic in your hand and easy to grip and use. I find it very effective and easy to use and I like the fact it can sit in it's holder at eye level in the shower. One small issue is that the replacement blades are marginally more expensive than other big name blades - it is around £8 for three more blades and annoyingly my original one did not come with any spare so I needed replacements within a month or so. I guess it depends on how often you use the blades. As yet the battery has not run out on the electric trimmer end and I am finding it very useful to have both options to hand in the shower.
The Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini Trimmer is an essential tool in any busy girls beauty toolkit! The fact that this is a razor and trimmer in one is a bonus as the less things that fill up the beauty bag the better. The Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini Trimmer is a dual function hair removal appliance that has a razor, with changable blades, on the one side and a waterproof trimmer on the other side. The trimmer has different length settings and you are able to get a very close trim with the shortest setting at the touch of a button. The problem I find with the trimmer is that the blades are unable to be changed and so when they start getting blunt the trimmer on the shortest setting does tend to tug a bit....ouch! The trimmer is a good shape though and is very comfortable to use on all the little awkward spots. The razer itself is also a good one and the wide blade serves its purpose well and is nicely shaped should you wish to shave your bikini area. As a razor alone I find that it sometimes is a bit too heavy but as it is a dual hair removal tool it does get away with it. I really do love this product and when the blades of the trimmer do get blunt I happily replace the whole thing as there is no other way to do it but this does get pricey over time....and a collection of the same razor is hard to explain to the boyfriend but so hard to throw away! This is a nice little tool and quite handy between waxes or if you're feeling a little lazy with the upkeep.
Now although I do already have a lady shave which I cannot complain about, I saw this on offer and decided to give it a go. This is a Quattro razor, with a waterproof battery operated bikini trimmer on the other side. Now I know that this all looks and sounds a little bit complicated, but trust me its not. This two in one razor is great, especially if you are staying away from home. The Razor is very easy to hand it just fits in your hand nicely and will not slip out due to the rubber grip. The first side is a standard razor, the blades that come with this razor are ultra thin and work well for a very very close shave. The only downside is that you cannot replace the blades on here, however the product is not too expensive so can be replaced if needed. The opposite side is a trimmer. The trimmer comes with a protection comb and four different settings depending on how much you intend to trim - I liks this feature as it gives you more options. The trimmer works when you hold in a button on the handle of the item. Overall this is a great product and works very well, I just wish that the blades were replaceable!
Nicknamed in our house "the gardener" the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini Trimmer is an essential item for ensuring my lady bits are kept neat and presentable and while it looks a little grusome in design and a bit scary it is really easy to use and also very comfortable to use. It is actually a dual purpiose appliance as one end is a standard Quattro razor and the other end is a bikini trimmer that is battery powered. The blades for the actual razor are standard replacable blades however you cannot replace the blades on the trimmer so after a while if it starts to dull then you either have to replace the whole unit or just use it as a conventional razor. Having said that the fact that you can buy it for under a tenner means that it fits within a sort of semi disposable range. The trimmer is waterproof so you can use it in the whower or bath and as such it makes shaving a lot easier, I also like the fact that the rubber grip is very comfortable and secure to hold with the power button conveniently located, these two features help to significantly reduce the risk of painful cuts, infact I have never sufferred a cut while using this device. It is also supplied with a protection comb which has four different settings fo you can regulate the length of your hair. The quattro razor itself has four blades and is a very effective product. Replacement packs for these blades are about £5 - £7. For me the dual purpose of this device makes it an ideal travel companion for those holidays where bikini wear is the norm. It comes with a holder to secure it to bathroom tiles however I have not bothered to use this as these suction pad designs sometimes leave marks on the tiles when you remove them. For me this device works well however the hairs in my pubic region are quite fine, whether or not it would cope with a thicker hair I'm not so sure, but for me it is a useful product especially when travelling.
You may look at this and think, bikini trimmer, not for blokes. And in many ways you would be right. The colour scheme is distinctly feminine in aqua blue but apart from that it is the exact same as the gents model, and is therefore extremely useful to all. Especially to me as my girlfriend passed on this unwanted gift. One the whole the quattro is comfortable to hold and manipulate, the disposable heads feature a row of blades protected by 3 vertical wires. These are super sharp and rinse clean easily under a little hot water. A simple release button on the rear unlocks the heads and the new one clips straight in. The real bonus here is the trimmer, with a 3 stage protective guard it offers a close or long cut for easy and accurate hair removal wherever you use it. The whole thing is waterproof so you don't have to worry about dropping it in the sink or shower. The downside is that the variable guide for the trimmer is not a very snug fit so you must be careful that it doesn't slip cutting more than you intended. Sadly this also makes the cap easy to lose. I don't know how long the trimmer blades will stay sharp, ive used it for over two months with no noticable difference since new. It certainly makes the job of grooming easier.
I bought the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini Trimmer at Boots as there was a special promotion and it was half price! This razor is very practical: One side is the Quattro razor, and the other side is a waterproof battery operated bikini trimmer! It does look scary, but there is no need to panic because there is virtually no chance of you cutting yourself! It has a big rubber grip so it will not slip out of your hands in the shower. It comes with a protection comb which you can select just how much you want to trim off (has four settings)! If you want a really close trim you can take the comb off. If you use the comb it will give you an equal all over trim. To operate the trimmer you just press and hold the trim button. It makes a vibrating sound, which I find rather amusing! It's possible to shape your bikini area into many different shapes with this product (if you feel the need!). The Quattro razor has 4 ultra thin blades and lubricating strips to give a real close and smooth shave. This really is an excellent product! I forgot to mention that the 4 blade pack is the same for all quattros priced at around £4.89 (http://www.needblades.co.uk). The trimmer has fixed blades and can't be replaced. It's quite hardy though so I think it will last quite a long time!
