F&F Sensitive Soles Suede Boots
by k2705
I've never been one for flat shoes but since I've had my son I do a lot more walking rather than driving and at the beginning of winter I bought a pair of flat boots from Tesco. The F&F Sensitive Sole Suede Faux Fur Lined boots cost me £28.00 and have so far been worth every penny.
The boots didn't come with any packaging ... as such, they were simply attached to each other with elastic allowing me to fit them on in the shop and also have a walk in them. The elastic had a small label attached to it giving the name of the boots and the size.
The F&F boots are made from suede and are black in colour, at the time of buying mine this was the only colour in store and as far as I am aware this is still the case. The boots are 24cm's long in the leg and on me come up to my mid calf. There is a raised seam running up the sides and front and stitching detail around the ankle and heel of the boots which slightly takes the plainness off.
The sole of the boot is described as sensitive and is made from a black rubbery type material which is very soft and spongy to walk on. There is a very slight heel on these so they are not totally flat but to be honest when wearing them you cant really feel it and Tesco do describe them as flat.
The boots are lined with a faux black sheepskin type material which is both very warm and soft.
There's no zip or opening on these they are simply a pull on style, this for me is easy to do however it may present a problem for those who have hand problems such as arthritis.
The Suede boots are described as wider fitting and although I don't have particularly wide feet the boots do offer generous room for my toes without being too big, the boots don't slip when I walk. They are available in sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, I personally bought a size 6 which is my regular size and they are true to size.
I love my boots, I generally wear them with skinny jeans or leggings tucked into them and in my personal opinion they look really good. The size is generous enough to enable me to wear a nice warm pair of socks in them making them lovely for this time of year.
Being a suede material I use a small brush to clean them and on the occasions I've been out in them when its wet I've had no problem with the suede staining or being water marked.
If you are looking for a pair of flat boots that are both practical and warm then I would certainly recommend taking a look at these as they are currently in the Tesco sale for £15.00. Read the complete review |

F&F Raffia Flip Flops
by MEL0611
With the summer being a little bit of a distant memory, in fact did we really have a summer at all I was clearing out the shoe rack in the bottom of my wardrobe and moving all of my flip flops to the back and had to bring my Ugg boots to the front. I still wear the flip flops when wandering around the house and one pair that were new to ... me this summer were my F&F Flip Flops, these were a purchase when I had in fact gone into Tesco and was looking to pick up a few bits and pieces for my tea! The flip flops were just as you walked in the door and once I saw the price and it was quite low they were straight into my basket! Here are my thoughts on them.
The Flip flops will cost you around the £4.00 mark which for a pair of summer flip flops is not bad. I only have a couple of really expensive pairs of flip flops in my collection and these get worn for nights out where as my cheap pairs are for day to day stuff and so if I only get one summers use out of them, the price justifies it so I planned to wear these for doing the housework in and pottering about I the garden, these are exclusive to the Tesco stores as well as being available on the website.
The flip flops are quite pretty to look at and they are quite a casual style yet have some fine detail on the strap that is by your toes so they have a smart look about them if you were to dress them up with an outfit. The sizes came in 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8, I am a size 7-8 and some shoes look ridiculous on me as they are just too long and make me look daft! There is a black rim that runs around the bottom of the flip flop and then the majority of the shoe is made from a rattan material and finally there is a material strap that goes between the toes.
The black sole gives you a really good cushion and when I first started wearing these around the house I found them to be really comfy. I chose to wear them around the house as opposed to wearing them out and about at first as sometimes the strap that fits by the toes is really uncomfortable and can rub but this was in fact not too bad. The strap has a small amount of detail on it, it has a navy background and then there are some flowers printed over it.
When wearing these outside of the house, I found that my foot started to slip over the front part of the shoe a little bit, it was more of an issue when my feet got hot in them but I did persevere when wearing them at home. I wore them out on a couple more occasions and the same thing happened, it was as if the bottom became slippy when my foot got hot, difficult to explain but it was an issue, so much so I only used these flip flops in the end when pottering about the house and nipping down to the garage.
In summary, for the price that I paid I cannot grumble to much about the quality, they served me ok through the warmer months and whilst they were not great for walking lots of miles in, they are ok now for around the home.
3 out of 5 from me

F&F Leopard Print Ballerina Court Shoes
by bringingsexyback
THE DESIGN
These are a ballerina shoe with a low heel. The ones I have are the leopard print design as pictured above but the shoes are also available in solid colours.
COMFORT
These are not very comfortable for me because the cut of the shoe is very low, exactly the same as in flat ballerina shoes. ... Even though the heel is low it pushes my feet forward and the edge of the shoe digs into the fleshy part of the top of my foot. The sole is very thin and not padded so they are uncomfortable on the bottom of my feet when I walk or stand for a long time.
DURABILITY
I only paid £12 for these shoes and have worn them about seven times before putting them into the shoe bank so I think that is good value for money. The heel has worn down a little bit but they are still in very good condition and you can only tell they have been worn by the sole.
WHAT I THINK?
It was a good idea to put a heel on these ballerina shoes but I think these have not been designed very well. The heel height is good for the style of the shoe but the front should have been cut higher to compensate for the slope the heel gives your foot.
They look smart but I think the round toe does not look very on trend combined with the heel. The print is very good and matches on both shoes, the sole is gold. The shoes are synthetic but comfortable on my feet even when my feet are warm because I have been walking or standing.
