Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flop
by missj1981 ** Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flop ** Even with the last rainy summer I did bought some new flip flops for myself I wear in the garden and outside. Especially when it's really warm I hate to wear shoes so I quickly run towards the new flip flops. These where a great bargain I think and where only 10 pounds. I really couldn't ... resist myself and had to get them. ***************************************************** Well the summer is long gone and we didn't had that great weather but I had some opportunities to wear these. These Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flop come in white/blue and have this navy style. It even has a little anchor! I could already see myself on a boat sailing away but unfortunately that didn't happen. I just wore them in the garden and in town. You also got a more darker version of this flip flop but I thought the navy one was more summer for me. ***************************************************** The sole of the flip flop is very solid and feels firm. They give great support for my foot and feel soft and comfortable while walking. They feel great for flip flops and it's always first getting use to it. What make them stand out is the twisted little rope with the little anchor. It fits good with my foot but the rope did rubbed against my foot while walking. It makes them a little bit less comfortable. ***************************************************** For flip flops they are really great and I know we are going towards the winter right now but I'm keeping mine for next summer. They have a really great navy look and feel comfortable for walking. I think the they are great for the price of 10 pounds and you really can't go wrong with them. Read the complete review |

Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flop
by SoadFan My Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flops were a summer purchase which I thought looked modern and minimal with just a hint of the nautical theme going on. I liked the simplicity of the design as soon as I saw it and thought the flip flops stood out amongst those I had seen. The design was very simple but very eye catching and I thought it was ... very cute and smart at the same time. When I purchased them I had a choice of two colour blends, one being a lighter mix and the other being darker. I really liked the mix of the dark shade with a hint of gold to it. As these were not listed as a Dooyoo product, a product suggestion was made so that I can share my thoughts about these summer flip flops. ********************************************************** My Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flops were a reasonable buy in terms of price and they are now reduced at Office to £10 from their original £20 in the dark toned shade. In the lighter mix you can buy the same flip flops for £13.99, these are stocked at other stores too, so you may even be able to pick them up for less. As ever shopping around may mean a cheaper purchase price. The colour I picked was the same as the one in the piccy here. They are a clever mix of sleek black with gold highlights. The other shade I could have picked was white but I didn't go for those as I thought the darker mix was the more striking of the two and I worried that the white ones would get dirty too quickly. ********************************************************* My black and gold toned flip flops had a simple anchor charm stitched onto one side of the twisted rope effect straps. The little anchor charm was something I thought made the flip flops stand out against others I could have picked. Whilst in store I thought these added a nice amount of detailing to the flip flops, in wear I have had one or two mishaps with the charms. One of the charms quickly came loose and scratched my foot when I was wearing these flip flops. The little hook shaped edges of the charm caught my skin and made it uncomfortable to continue with it as it was. Rather than continue walking and wearing the flip flops with the charm hanging off, I had to remove it from the rope strap and then re-attach is back on later. I found this inconvenient and rather awkward to do. ********************************************************** The sole of my Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flops are simple and have the sugar logo indented in the middle of them in stylized writing. They have a nice cushioned feel about them which is a plus point. This 'Sugar' text is repeated on the part of the shoe where you place your foot. The toe post is made from a leather effect synthetic material and is very slim. I have found that when I first got these they rubbed against my foot both at the toe post area and at the side where the charm was placed. These are definite minus points for the flip flops, as the over all comfort was rather compromised by this. I rather like the nice cushiony sole, as it gives a nice feel when walking in these flip flops, but as it took time to wear them in due to the flip flops rubbing against my skin, this wasn't enough to win me over. ********************************************************** I did find that over time the flip flops became a little more comfortable with repeated wear, but the charms could so easily catch against me that I eventually decided to remove them both for good. I feel this defeated the object of me having picked the flip flops over others in the first place, as once the charms were off the look of the flip flops was much simpler than it had been. To rate my Sugar Cabo Anchor Flip Flops I need to take into account how they performed verses the money spent on the purchase. Whilst they certainly looked lovely when new, they didn't live up to what I hoped in terms of comfort and longevity. With everything in mind my flip flops get a 3 star rating and are something I would not be looking to buy again. Read the complete review |

Sugar Origami Boots
by cloudwood88 As a massive fan of the high heel comfort has often been low on my list of essential criteria of shoes - but on moving to London last year I realised that a car is an essential item for a high heeled lifestyle - my 4 inch heels and the tube weren't making friends - I decided the heels would have to be retired from all day use, and went ... out shopping for some more 'sensible' to join my Uggs and a pair of trainers for the gym in my 'usefull' shoe pile. After a quick trip into Office I spotted some Sugar boots (most of the designs are pretty hard to miss) and decided to give them a try as a change from the good old Ugg. ~~Colour and Prints~~ These boots come in loads of super cute different colours and patterns - they are all pretty bold and garish so not for those who want to blend into the background. The boots in the picture are 'Crowded Garden'. Check all the designs out on Amazon or tReds. The actual Sugar website is rubbish and doesn't show anything. ~~Comfort~~ These are really comfortable -I have started to get a bit complacent and seem to have been wearing them all winter. They are furry, cosy and warm on the inside. They are fine for walking around all day in - the sole is completely flat and offers no arch support - I have a high instep but don't have a problem with these, whereas some very flat shoes can cause a bit of pain if I wear them all day. ~~Size~~ My Sugar boots have always been a good fit - I just go for my normal size. I find that with Uggs and their knock-offs I have to go down a size. These boots are also a lot narrower than Uggs - which I think makes the size and fit a lot more similar to a normal boot or shoe. ~~Hard Wearing~~ For such decorative boots these are surprisingly hard wearing and sturdy. The sole is pretty tough. They aren't exactly waterproof - ok with a bit of rain or a splash of water - but don't go jumping in any puddles! The boots have a tie-up side - and so most of the side of the boot is not actually stiched together. This dosen't stop them being nice and warm, and you don't notice the split when wearing them. Because you tie the boots you can pull them to fit your individual calf size. You don't need to undo the ties every time you wear them - they can be easily pulled on and off while tied up - so good for us lazy/late people. ~~Fading~~ I'm now on my third pair of Sugar boots, and had a problem with the colour fading on the second pair. They were black, and the colour seemed to just rub off them - this began happening really soon after I got them - within the first two weeks. I am so lazy, so just kept on wearing them anyway, but they did look very scruffy very quickly. I haven't had this problem with the other two pairs (the ones I'm wearing today have a very slight fade - but I've been wearing them almost non-stop for the last 3 months so no complaints there. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky with the second pair - but I wouldn't order any more with a black base colour just in case. ~~Versatility~~ You can also fold down the top of the boots so that the inside fur shows for a different look. The same boots come in two lengths 'origami' - a mid calf boot, and 'morigami' which are longer at approximately 8.5 inches. The morigami boots are probably the most verasatile as you can fold them down to the same length as the origami boots, as long as you don't mind the fur look. Good for wearing over my skinnie jeans - Because you can tie them as tight or loose as you want you can also get some wider trousers to tuck in easily, or fine with trousers on the outside too. I've been wearing them a lot with skirts this year too. ~~Where to get Them~~ On the high street these shoes are sold in Office and tReds, and probably some other places. You can get a better price on Amazon - the choice is a bit limited, but they still have a good range. Check them out on the high street for fit and colour if you're not sure - then go online and save some cash by getting them on Amazon. They come direct from Amazon so you can get the supersaver delivery, unlike some of the other shoes on there. ~~Price~~ On the high street - 'Origami' boots are £45 at Sugar and tReds. The longer 'Morigami' boots are about £55. Online - 'Origami' boots range in price from £20 - £45 on Amazon. It depends on size and colour - so a bit of luck is needed in getting the real bargains. 'Morigami' boots are £25-£50. ~~Details~~ Fastening: Pull On Boot Length: Mid-Calf Outer: Microsuede/Cotton Textile Inner: Manmade/Fabric Sole: Manmade Read the complete review |
