I bought these trainers from Sports Direct for £30 2 years ago.
I knew what sort of trainers I was after and was on the look out for either K-Swiss trainers or adidas trainers purely because I liked the stripe design on the side of the trainers.
I ended up going for the adidas pair as they were cheaper.
The adidas trainers came in a choice of 2 colours in the store which were either black or red for the colour of stripes and logo on the overall white trainer.
I bought the red as it is my favourite colour and I preferred it more. For some reason I always find anything in red more eye-catching and choose it over other options.
There is not much colour on the trainers, most of it is white apart from the coloured stripes at the side, the logo and also the logo and band at the back of the trainer.
I tend not to buy many white trainers and only owned one other pair that I used for going running.
I thought the white would get dirtier a lot quicker and more noticeable... but with these trainers they have always been really easy to clean with a wet cloth.
The sole of the trainer is completly flat with no grips on, but I have never had any problem wearing these for long periods of time and they are really comfortable and easy to walk/run in.
I thought the trainers were reasonably priced too and they have lasted me a long time. I still wear them but will start looking for another pair because they have got a bit grubby at the front of the trainer with constant use and don't look as nice as they once were.. but that would happen to all trainers after daily use and I did get a good wear out of these!
I give the trainers 5 stars as I can't fault their quality and use.
The only downside I can comment on is because I always wear black socks the insoles of the trainer did start to noticeably change colour but apart from that they were really decent trainers.

Adidas Superstar 2
Over the years I have owned many pairs of trainers, I do have a slight addiction to trainers rather than shoes! Amongst my collection at the moment I have a pair of Adidas Superstar 2 trainers.
I chose to by my Superstar trainers as I had a pair years ago and I remembered how comfortable they were and I also remembered liking the look of them when I was wearing them. When I first set out to buy these trainers I simply had the Superstar style in mind with no initial preference to the colour. Upon browsing around Sports Direct I eventually found Superstar trainers and was quite disappointed to see I only had a choice of white trainers with either the black or the red Adidas stripes. Not being much of a fan of red I opted for the black stripes for £28.
When I first saw these trainers I actually didn't think they would be so comfortable due to the totally flat sole, however this didn't put me off and I still found myself buying them. Thankfully, the flat sole doesn't seem to make them any less comfortable and I find that I can wear these trainers all day if I want to.
As far as looks are concerned the first time I saw someone wearing these trainers I instantly had a flashback of the old Run DMC music videos, I seem to remember a scene where they are wearing these or something similar.
Adidas Superstar 2 trainers are lace up trainers, mine came pre-laced so I was quite happy I didn't have to mess about with them. The trainers are mainly white and have the Adidas stripes in black on each side of them, at the heal of the trainer has a black area and the toe area is made from a tough rubber and formed to give the trainers the 'shell toe' look. The sole of the trainer is totally flat and while it doesn't look like it would give much grip I can happily say I have never had any problems with slipping over and I have done a lot to test these trainers from the day to day walking around (or running if I am late) to walkies with my dog and more recently a trip to a lovely spot of countryside with very unexpected and uneven terrain!
I find the trainers fit my feet well and the shape of them allows me enough room for my feet to breathe yet not so much that the trainers move around and cause discomfort.
I usually wear my Superstar's with jeans and find that the way my jeans fall over the trainers makes them appear small and therefore gives the impression I have smaller feet than I actually do. I have worn them with shorts in the past and while I still think they look good I personally prefer them under jeans.
I have found my Superstar trainers to be really easy to clean and I've actually only ever used a damp cloth and warm water to wipe any excess dirt or marks off them as the outer layer of the trainer is made totally from leather which not only makes them great quality but also pretty much 'wipe clean'. The inner of the trainers is made from a synthetic and cotton material and this does stay pretty clean, mine seems to have gone a grey-ish white now but I would put this down to me wearing mainly black or dark socks most days.
I have owned my current pair of Superstar trainers for almost 2 years now and unfortunately they are starting to get a bit worn now and I think I may have to make another purchase soon. I have worn these trainers very frequently, sometimes every day for a couple of weeks at a time, they have survived every day life, a muddy 4 day festival, snow, rain, uneven terrain and general outdoor abuse and despite all of this the outside of the trainers is still in great condition and actually only need a good clean, my reason for needing to replace these trainers is due to wear and tear inside the heal area which has started to make them less comfortable after only a few hours on my feet. I'm not complaining though as I think for everything they have been through these trainers have stood up well and definitely shown they are high quality and made to a high standard.
I bought my Superstar's in Sports Direct in Birmingham at the end of May 2011 for £28, I thought this was a really good price. I have recently checked Sports Direct website and they are currently selling for £20 for a childs size and up to £40 for an adults size and they do seem to have some different colour varieties now.
If you can get these trainers at a decent price then yes I would recommend them. They are comfortable and in my personal opinion I think they look great. They have lasted ages for me with some pretty intense use, so for someone who doesn't wear them so often I think they would last a lot longer! Overall, a great classic trainer which I would buy again.
