ALDO Shoes is founded as a footwear concession within a chain of popular fashion boutiques, and is a Canadian brand. Aldo has now become one of my favourite places to buy shoes. The look of the store is expensive, with a clean, minimalist layout, but the prices are typical high street with not much over £100. There is a mixture of trend led and more practical styles for everyday, they're perhaps not as quirky as Office, but the styles have longevity and will be wearable for a good few seasons. I recently bought a pair of black Mary Janes, which are my staple item when I'm stuck for a pair of shoes to wear. Have read some not great reviews of this shop so far, however i am extremely happy with the majority of the purchases i have made from here. I regurlarly go to the one in Bluewater and find the staff a massive and friendly a couple maybe overly so. I have bought about 10 pairs of shoes from here so far both heels and flats alike. Although i do have to buy insoles for all the non open toed shoes i buy from here, not sure why but the size smaller is crippling and the 'right' size always seem to slip off, however open toed ones and sandels seem to be fine. Without a doubt the most fashionable shoe retailer on the highstreet at the moment, my wife drags me into Aldo when ever she can. And she is the proud owner of numerous pairs. The sizing is slightly large she is normally a four and a half but a four here is plently big enough. They have a great international on-line web store which is easy to use and lets you know immediatey if stock is available. The mens range is good but slightly more limited than the ladies but prices are reasonable and again very fashion led.
